Safari Zone Help

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if someone could tell me what they think the best strategy is for catching Chansey in Leaf Green.. None of my friends have ever heard of Skyblissing and I'd like to give them a...lesson, for future reference.

Go to the zone to the right of where you come in, the one with the platforms and wierd + shaped patch of grass...
Rotate on the spot at either the base of a small set of stairs, or one of the |_ shaped pieces around the +, stay in the same place rotating, you will eventually find chansey, kangaskhahn, and Tauros...
When they appear throw a rock, then a ball, you may lose a few this way, but eventually one will stay, for you to catch, remember, rotating on the spot means you will not lose your steps... ^.^

I found about 500-1000 pokemon doing that and only 6 Chansey, 2 Tauros, and 2 Kanghaskan before running out of Safari Balls...but I'll try the rock thing, I'd think they'd just run immediatley.

Most of the time, the first few will run, but after that they will stay... when i caught my chansey it lasted 2 rocks, and 3 balls... my kanghaskan lasted 1 rock and 1 ball... which was lucky... tauros took me hours.. also, i spent 4 hours in the safari zone before getting everything in there..

Thanks, with your advice I caught a Chansey, and it's now a Lv. 70 Blissey in training. I really appreciate it.

Of course, it took 5 1/2 hours straight of rotating in the SZ ^_^;;

Ah... time well spent my friend! Catch a tauros while you were there?

Good lord. Catching Chansey HAS to be the most time consuming/frustrating thing in the game. I know I spent about 5 hours catching one....Thankfully, Blissey is worth it.

Bah, no Tauros...I only found 4 out of about 800 Pokemon, but Chansey numbers were up (about 30 or so)

Blissey's now at Lv 85, almost time to unleash the pink...I got Skarmory at Lv. 83 as well...mwahahahaha...
