It isn't as hard to get one now as it used to. Back when I got mine you either had to buy your account or get someone else to basically "invite" you to use it. Now I'm pretty sure you can just sign up for free on your own.

LiveJournal is a good thing to have around if you need to vent but a lot of people seem to go by this mentality that you NEED to get a lot of comments or it's meaningless. No offence to them, but the whole thing is meaningless unless you actually care about it yourself! Screw other people. It's a bloody JOURNAL for crying out loud - public or not - so use it like one and actually give yourself something worth reflecting on :P /rant she's been sitting on for months now
