Awesome article Jesse, trophys are a good idea but slightly costly, not that expensive but a great uprfront prize, and i have to agree with what you said about having fun. I have won and played my best when i went in just happy to be dueling with people not caring if i won or lost.

I can't wait for the new ban list to be out if it is like the Jap list I will be very happy because my earth deck will have a chance to win!

As the title says many of the things you suggest are good, and I definately think that banning is just a quick bandaid that will need changing far to often to keep a fundamental problem at bay.

One single suggestion that I would hope UpperDeck would seriously consider is to always simultaneously release a common version of each card in a set at the same time as the holo Super Rare / Ultimate Rare version of various cards.
That way the price of the Ultimate Rare is not connected to the metagame and all players have equal oportunity on getting the required cards to build their decks.
Then if you want a pretty deck (I do) or collection with your favour card then you buy the holo's.

yah very good article explains stuff a lot so that is good. I thought what he said made a lot of sence. this could really help a lot of little kids aswell.
