View Full Version : Our Friends are coming....
Guess what, Groudon80 and his friends are planning to spam pokéschool once again...
Want to hear something very funny, they have actual topics on their forums about spamming forums, especially ours... observe

They are so pathetic... Oh and just so you know.../

So... Yeah... well lets just hope they grow up and realise that all this over not being able to say "Tyraniboah" is a waste of time and effort...

Yes, all of the spammers are causing quite an hassel on the PokeSchool forum... but I don't think there is much we could do about it... I think the moderators have the most power here... and only they have power to ban members...
Again... I might be wrong... anyone else have some suggestions on how we could handle this problem?

My suggestion is when they show up, ban them. We don't want to stoop to their level, nor do we want to stop our usual thing here. We need to get a force of mods that are on at different times (IE more American Mods) to keep an eye out for those who want to cause us harm. This thing has been totally thrown out of proportion and it's all over a word thing. I mean, come on.
That's my two cents there.

Tell that to Baboon and Nem, the one's who've been cleaning up the garbage every few nights. Or to all the people who're simply trying to rate their teams but all they get are flamewars in their topics. I hope you're joking :P
Quality over quantity. It's a broken-record statement but it's damn true. Allowing spammers free-reign of Pskl will just lead to its demise faster. If anything, it'll drive away the members who aren't spammers.
Not like there's much that can be done about the situation, tho...

Hey, looking at the second pic...why don't one of us tell Yahoo about this? =/
Yeah...I have to admit, this IS getting very tiresome. Even more tiresome than that Riachu fellow. But hey, at least it hasn't struck other forums, right? ^_^
But yeah...my advice is to maybe tell Yahoo? =/ Just a thought...
Okay, everyone has to laugh at this...

Oh yeah! We rock... there is trouble within the ranks of Groudon Forums...

Actually, some of the mods that aren't American can still be on at the same time as otehr mods. If you saw the spam last night, you'll have seen that Nem got rid of it all.
But yeah, more Mods from all over the world would help.

Well, supposedly, they say they are going to stop spamming at the Pokeschool forums because they say that it gives there forum a bad reputation (No? Really?).
But we should still stay on our guard. They might just be trying to fool us since they know we can view their forum.

Heh.
We really need mods in several time zones, or at least 2 or 3 that would cover a whole day. Like, American mods, British mods, etc. We also need to be alert. I was actually the one who helped Ham get banned, with the aid of Baboon. It was a hunch at first, but according to these photos my hunch proved to be right. I would have done more but I couldn't log out...
That's another thing. Straying off topic for a bit, how do you log out if you use Firefox? I have that "always logged in" option on...

And they succeed in tearing us apart with board turmoil.
I, for one, will not let this happen! Hear me, and know that the boards will live as long as I'm alive and have web access!

Lee, look around. You see anyone who shares that view with you? Yeah, they might say it, but do they truly mean it?
Let's face it. We've exiled Gary, everyone's lost interest, and this place is slowly dying. I've just about given up trying to revive this place. I might still post around, but only for you, and I'll be VERY skeptic while doing so.
It was fun while it lasted, though.

Nice attitude, Lee. :p
Anyways, Yoshi has informed me that the Groundon Forum people have gone to attack the Yu-Gi-Oh Forums. Not that we really care about them at all, but I'm just letting everyone know that they are still lurking about.
Lugiasian: stop being so negative. Yeah, the board is in a decline, but it's not something he need to hear all the time. Yes, we have lost Gary, one of our only few left veterans, but I believe I will be able to replace him and do the same things he did (even though my RP skill is no where near his), only in a kinder manner. I know your upset about me getting this, but please don't.

I beg to differ. The apocalypse is here. We can't stop it.
Who posts anymore? Here and there a few people will post...but when was the last time we saw an interesting newbie join our ranks and STAY? The Misc is really nothing but sprites and random ramblings that are interesting for about a week. Hurt & Heal's pretty much dead....and that's the game NO ONE thought would die.
I frankly don't care if you're a mod, because what's there to mod anymore? Nothing. The boards are dying a slow and painful death. I for one say we should take it out of its misery.
I'm negative and pessimistic for a reason. Be optimistic, and fall twice as hard. Be pessimistic and you'll feel better because: A) you were right and B) you don't fall as hard.
The end is near, and I'm embracing it with open arms.

I think it's great that you were promoted to mod status. You deserved it, Sally.
Anyways, I think this topic has done was it was meant to - made people aware of the Groudon forums. Is there really any reason to keep it open?

Oh, that's just Nems for you. There's been worse incidents. (BTW, there are five+ year members without modship, you know?) Don't worry.
Revival goin' on big time, baby! Lee's gonna take this place to the top again! Who's with me?

Thank you.
Anyways, your correct, this is no longer needed. *locks*
I'll update if I get any new information on them, though.
