It seems that mono white could be good now. I tried it a couple months ago, and it was half decent. Now with final judgment and shining shoal it seems that it could get a heck of a lot better. Maybe it wont be able to deal with some of the decks that are out now, like mono-blue, but i'm sure there is some way to do it. I guess i'll just try and get a list going for you all to see how it would work.

4 pristine angel
4 samurai of the pale cutrain
2 patron of the kitsune

4 wrath of god
2 final judgement
2 oblivion stone
4 ghoastly prison
4 shining shoal
2 pulse of the fields

3 sensei's diving top
4 wayfarer's bauble

2 boseju who shelters all
4 stalking stones
1 eiganjo castle
3 blinkmoth nexus
16 plains

SB:
3 hikori dusk drinker
4 uba mask
3 circle of protection red
3 dampening matrix
2 patron of the kitsune

There are some hole in the deck, like a way to resolve a win condition...but i hope i helped with the stones and boseju.

Affinity:
In: 3 dampening matrix; 2 patron of the kitsune
Out: 3 sensei's diving top; 2 pristine angel

Mono blue:
In: 4 uba mask; 3 hikori, dusk drinker; 3 dampening matrix
Out: 4 wrath of god; 4 shining shoal; 2 oblivion stone

Tooth&Nail:
In: 3 hikori dusk drinker
Out: 3 wrath of god

U/G:
In: 3 hikori dusk drinker; 4 uba mask
Out: 4 ghostly prison; 2 patron of the kitsune; 1 wrath of god

G/B:
In: 2 patron of the kitsune
Out: 2 oblivion stone

There are some problems with this deck however. I have a problem with the whole legendary thing with the patron and hikori. I really need them to be able to do anything, but i really don't want to draw multiples.

I have not tested the uba mask, but so far it has been proving itself in my team's big red deck for the monoblue and blue green matches. It seems like it might prove its worth here too, but i still need the testing.

Something that i think is worth testing is worship. If it resolves in almost all matches it seems like i wold have a lock. Worship+pristine angel can only be removed in the monoblue match, and in the g/b matches. Monoblue can only boomerang/truth the worship or o-stone the angel, and g/b might have the naturalize, but tooth has been cutting the o-stones, and i don't think that they play naturalize, so it might be worth it.

I also want to find a replacement for hikori, since i just don't see it being very good. I guess that it does slow down the tooth deck, but they can just play around it. And i think the deck is a little too slow to race tooth with hikori in play.

There are some questions that need answering, so maybe someone will be able to help?

Sry but this really doesn't seem very... good.

um i just think that this deck is a little bit slow for T II.

However I could be wrong. I suppose the samurai keep you alive a little but i belive you will be killed! by freshmaker, MBC, and G/B cloud.

I suppose there may be a way to do this but i can't think of one for the curant T II.

The biggest problem is that white s not the greatest colour right now and as such cannot cope with the big dominator Green and the other one that is not a colour artifacts. If only we had our weathered wayfarer back so that we could get our cloudposts out. Then all we would need is to have decree of justice back...

Oh well, good luck.

I myself tried resurrecting Monowhite control after the Onslaught Block rotated out, but it seems that the new cards brought about by the release of Betrayers can compensate for the cards lost.

Monowhite control before can clear the board with removal - Akroma's Vengeance, Wing Shards, Wrath of God, Oblivion Stone - then bring some potent finishers - Exalted Angel, Eternal Dragon and Decree of Justice - to end the game in their favor.

Against creature decks, it proved extremely dependable. Against control decks, it won by outsmarting the competition - Eternal Dragon can be recurred (thus nullifying discard, kill and countering), and Decree of Justice provided uncounterable instant creatures.

Your current monowhite build provides an excellent defense against aggro decks like affinity - Final Judgment, Oblivion Stone, Ghostly Prison, Shining Shoal, Wrath of God, Pulse of the Fields - but I believe it fares poorly against control varities. MBC can easily discard your hand, and Cranial Extraction your key cards and even win conditions. B/G Rock can basically do the same, only with recursion and. U/X decks will simply counter or kill any threats you play.

If you plan to continue with MWC, I suggest the following cards:

1. Genju of the Fields. It's cheap, so it'll easily slip through counters. It provides you an early blocker which gives you life and returns to your hand should your man-land die.

2. Sensei's Divining Top. It helps you find the card you need. Combined with the Baubles which lets you reshuffle and thin your library, it can be pretty awesome.

3. Solemn Simulacrum. It depends on you whether you include him or not, but I just like him in a control deck (I use him in mine). Expendable critter which give you land acceleration and draws you a card when it goes bye-bye.

4. Yosei, the Morning Star. He's a 5/5 flyer, can stall an opponent by tapping enemy permanents (useful when you dont want your next card countered) and can serve as an alternate cost for Shining Shoal.

5. Ivory Mask. For the sideboard. MBC will destroy you without this as your hand -and deck- is easy pickings. Cranial Extraction can be particularly devastating, as your win conditions are limited and easily avoidable. Works wonders against big red as well.

6. Karma. Again for the sideboard. You won't even have to attack to kill your opponent.

Those are my ideas, and I hope it helps. Good luck on rebuilding MWC. As for my take on it, I think a splash of red would do wonders. Maybe I'll post my design for R/W Control on a different thread.

I know that the deck stomps all the agro matches, and thats why i included such cards as hikori and uba mask. They work great in the tooth and monoblue match, but i still ended up losing like half the games after board. But i found out that shining shoal is really good in the tooth match. It kills kiki, and stops the lethal titan damage. I know that it will be hard to win those matches, but i have faith. Maybe mindslaver would be good? i don't know. keep the ideas coming...

I personaly don't like the spore frogs. It looks like it could be good. But i don't think there is enough room in the deck for it.

The deck is to overdramactic with 4 wrath of gods if anything 2, 4 takes away from the rest of the deck. The best mono whites had 1 in their sideboard. Not to mention getting a hold on 4 of them. It is not a bad deck but it needs a little sprucing up if ya know what i mean

Apparently you dont play control...at all. 4 Wrath of Gods are NEEDED to CONTROL the game. BTW there is already a monowhite thread way the hell down by now.

wow i just thought of a card and forgot it the next second... lol but it's a land from Saviors that is legendary sand says tap 3: sac a creature. Gain life equal to its toughness...could be good with your yosei or whatever. Wow, I play with the land too and I still cant remember its name. I have the worst memory in the world.
