I tried drafting UB last night. We'll just say it worked:
10 Island
7 Swamp
1 Waterveil Cavern
18 LANDS
2 Teardrop Kami
1 Minamo Scrollkeeper
1 Oboro Breezecaller
1 Kuro's Taken
1 River Kaijin
1 Callow Jushi
1 Ninja of the Deep Hours
1 Shimmering Glasskite
1 Kami of Empty Graves
2 Shinen of Flight's Wings
1 Teller of Tales
1 Sire of the Storm
1 Patron of the Moon
15 CREATURES
1 Soulless Revival
2 Murmurs from Beyond
1 Horobi's Whisper
1 Kagemaro's Clutch
1 Hideous Laughter
1 Honden of Seeing Winds
7 OTHER SPELLS
Despite not having played Magic for a month or so, this deck went 6-2 in games for a 3-0 record and a first place finish (6 packs).
Blue and black are probably the strongest colors in CBS. Any other opinions?
I certainly agree B/U is teh best. However I drafted last night and did W/B I pulled Kokusho and Oyobi and promise of teh bunrei were passed to me along with 2xhorobi's whisper and 2xKabuto moths I couldn't resist.

holy crap ???, where do you draft??? getting passed two moths and all that removal?? what the fvck is up with that...do you draft with two year olds or something?
i wish i got those passed to me, sadly i don't.
welding, it is definitly a powerful archetype with plenty of power, big bodies in the air, plentiful of removal and control. it's solid
I was suprised because one person next tome was drafting black the other however was drafting G/U I lost to G/U he actually got out unspeakable with two reachs and other stuff I got land screwed.I got 10th/27th with 3-2 record however this is off-topic sorry.

you know on friday i drafted green/black spirits and i had the best deck by far. In the finals i faced a guy who was playing green/white. Game one i thrashed him. Game two he got a jitte in play. Well i knew he had jitte so i had put 2 rending vines and a splinter in but i drew nothing. Game three he got jitte again. I honestly dont think there is a best archetype. Any deck with jitte will win. I dont have a list off hand but my deck consisted of some of the following...
iwamori
2 scuttling death
3 elder pine of jukai
1 senseis top
2 ste
1 okiba gang shinobi
1 kodamas reach
1 seizan
other than that i had some good pump spells and a lot of spirits i cant remember. In round one i went 2-0, round 2 2-0, round 3 2-0, round 4 2-0 and i lost to jitte in finals 1-2.

Yes, Jitte is ridiculously broken. Any archetype with it will win at long as it can get out a few creatures and not face removal.
I always draft with an open mind (I never force an archetype), but I've found myself drafting blue the last four or five times I've played, other than one WB draft. Blue is so good. Three-power fliers (and four-power fliers) just end games. Teller is great, Sire is great, blue Shinen is great. Black has a bunch of common removal, and Kagemaro's clutch is insane (much better than Befoul in my opinion). Black also has beaters like Cutthroat and a few tricks.
On a different note, here's my WB decklist:
WB Samurai/Ninja/Spirit Goodness
9 Swamp
9 Plains
18 LANDS
1 Skullsnatcher
1 Cruel Deceiver
1 Konda's Hatamoto
1 Araba Mothrider
1 Kami of Ancient Law
1 Kataki, War's Wage
1 Hand of Honor
2 Waxmane Baku (could have had three, but someone hated the third)
1 Kabuto Moth
1 Kami of the Waning Moon
1 Opal-Eye, Konda's Yombijo
1 Nagao, Bound by Honor
1 Kami of Empty Graves
1 Cursed Ronin
1 Indebted Samurai
2 Okiba-Gang Shinobi
18 CREATURES
1 Call to Glory
1 Kagemaro's Clutch
2 Death Denied
4 OTHER SPELLS
Nagao rocks, Opal-Eye rocks, Waxy rocks, Clutch rocks and Hand rocks.
