I just started a new game on my pokemon leaf-green video game and I have encountered a problem which I have never ecountered before. I wanted to start with all 3 starting pokemon (Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander), so I traded for them from the fire-red game. But as I am passing through veridian forest on my way to Brock's gym both both squirtle and charmander are rapidly increasing levels. This would be a great thing except for the fact that as they grow they are also becoming disobedient and many times refuse to listen to me in battle. Does anybody know why this is happening??? Is there a way to stop it??? And if there is how long will it take???
Please Help me!!!! Thanx

it happens with traded pokemon. they disobey if they are high level and traded.
pokemon listen with every other badge, starting with the second one(up to level 30).

Level up your Bulbasaur until you beat Misty. After then, the other 2 should become very nice to use :D

trapinch at lv 42 will learn dig, do not evolve it when it first can evolve into vibrava or it will not learn the move...

to cross the bridges you need an acro bike. And about the dig problem, a nincada will learn dig at lvl 45 if you do not evolve it.

and to cityboy17, the reason they might be growing so fast and not your bulbasaur is because all pokemon that are traded grow about twice as fast. I had the same problem in sapphire with a numel i got from a friend early in the game. I wanted a good team from the beginning and i started with a treeko, so i got a numel so it would be at pace with the treeko.

Double posting is something that shouldn't be done. There is an edit button that you can use to put information that you might of forgotten.
Thank you, and happy stay! ^^
