Okay, so I've been testing a BUG Ooze and Vengevine Hybrid for several days now, and would like feedback from the rest of the crowd.

Here's my list:

Spells:

2x Jace's Ingenuity

Creatures:

1x Molten-Tail Masticore
1x Viscera Seer
1x Bloodthrone Vampire
1x Vengeful Archon
1x Steel Hellkite
4x Bloodghast
4x Fauna Shaman
1x Gigantomancer
4x Enclave Cryptologist
4x Birds of Paradise
4x Hedron Crab
4x Vengevine
3x Necrotic Ooze

Lands:

4x Verdant Catacombs
4x Misty Rainforest
3x Scalding Tarn
3x Darkslick Shores
4x Swamp
4x Forest
4x Island

I've yet to put together a SB for the deck. I'm also not to worried about GY hate because I have several other things the deck can do. A list of such...

1) Tutor up a Masticore, Hellkite, Gigantomancer, Or Just push damage with vines for as long as possible, then Ooze (as 4/3's are usually good damage pushers)

2) Obviously beat face with Vines in the early game VIA Mill then double creatures, Or Birds to make turn 3 Vine.

3) Necrotic Ooze is really more of a late game finisher. He does the things in the late that Vengevine's can't really get done (since you'll be out of little creatures in your hand)

Options for where the deck could/should head towards-I thought about putting 1 Trinket Mage, And 1 Memnite in just to tutor for, then reoccur my vengevines. It's a really stable idea and offers a decent late game when your hand is deprived of 2 creatures.

I thought of SB options (since I've yet to design a SB) to incur more to Ooze and utilizing him to his full potential.

I also thought of Spreading Sea's In MD somewhere maybe like a 2 off, with 2 more in the board.

The Vengevine and Ooze deck's haven't really been seeing a lot of play, and I definitely think that they are capable of beating the current Tier 1 decks as a lot of the UB decks aren't running the Trinket Mage options so searching for Nihil Spellbomb just isn't going to be easy. And the deck has an amazing Match-up vs Control or Ramp, and A solid matchup vs RDW Boros or other aggro decks.

Input please.

+4 renegade doppleganger
-1 Viscera Seer
-1 Bloodthrone Vampire
-1 Bloodghast
-1 Enclave Cryptologist

they give you additional Vengevine's (number 5-8) when they pop, and they also allow you to use as a hasty Fauna Shaman or Necrotic Ooze. Other creatures to maybe use in SB as bullet points are - Spikeshot Elder, Pestilence Demon, geth, Sylvok Replica. Also, a fan of Sphinx of Lost Truths with venge's. hexmage in SB also.

The dopplegangers are not the type of card to fit into this deck. The low casting cost creatures you've suggested taking out are things that allow me to reoccur Vengevine, as well as have activated abilities of worthwile note to the Ooze. As for Spikeshot Elder in the sb, there is no red. Yes i'm well aware of pestilance demon, geth, and the hexmage, although I hadn't yet considered the Sylvok Replica.

let's say you have Vengevine in grave. I cast a doppleganger and a bird, venge comes out and doppleganger also becomes venge...hit for eight. I cast doppleganger and doppleganger as my two creatures for Vengevine....now I hit for 12. "spikeshot elder in the sb, there is no red", the ooze and the birds are your red. Look at the other posts about ooze on here to give you some ideas.

I'm completely aware as how the Renegade Doppleganger works in the DREDGEVINE decks, as this is not the dredgevine deck he will not be seeing play here. Secondly, I had completely overlooked them tapping for red, but still do not think that it would be very efficient in the SB.
