Um im running a B/R control deck and im worried about my mid to late game plan...

So im asking everyone opinion on the matter should i run Consume the Meek and/or Consuming Vapors for creature removal.... I understand that each is good in their own way and situation use.

I'll post a deck shortly to show you with what im working with.

That's hard to say, without having a list to work with I would suggest running Vapors main and Consume the Meek in the board against weenie decks like vamps.

it all depends, against control, Consuming Vapors, against aggro, Consume the Meek

Consume the Meek, an instant, kills elves, goblins and vampires, elves wont Regenerate from Ezuri renegade leader ability, unlike Day of Judgment

Consuming Vapors is great against control, where they play a couple of bombs (Frost Titan, Grave Titan, Sun Titan) or take their walls and gain 4
but together, 2 of each, Consume the Meek the small ones, and the vapor the big ones!

I agree with Fortunae. Vapors main and Meek board is probably best. Meek is more devastating, but it mostly hurts aggro. Vapors hurts control by taking out win conditions and hurts aggro by killing multiple creatures while giving you life. It's less crippling, but works against almost any deck.

I haven't been a fan of Consuming Vapors for a while now. Granted, when its good, it's really damn good but I think its just too damn inconsistent. I've found quite consistently that when I had vapors I would much rather have doomblade or Consume the Meek (which is really, really good in the current metagame).

Despite what some have said, Vapors does not answer Grave Titan. They just sac one of the zombie tokens instead of him. However, the ability to answer frost is pretty sick. u/w is as likely to recur a Wall of Omens, hawk, or sea gate with Sun as they are to recur a Beleren so it's not going to reliably deal with Sun Titan either (they just sac what they've recurred, swing, and recur it again so that you can't Rebound into killing it). Personally, I fill my Vapors slot with Brittle Effigy. Slower, yes, but much more interesting. Nails Bloodghast. Wrecks Venge and is a response to a hard-casted Emrakul or Kozilek.

However, in a creature-removal heavy enough deck (Good MBC builds, some u/b's that focus on creature hate instead of counterspells) then I think it can be a decent support spell. It's too unreliable for staple removal, though.

Yea i feel yea, besides my deck kinda promotes them taping out for the big stuff... you should of seen the look on this kid's face when he hit played an ulamog...
My turn Mark of Mutiny, 11 dmg to the dome, then I fling 'd it and dealt lethal. thats why i love dealing with ramp decks personally, i wait for the big **** to hit the field then i just beat them down with their own **** and then sac it through one of my many sac outlets. viscera, fling, gatekeeper, sarkhan... but i do like your answer for emrakul... I might just run Brittle Effigy as a 1 of in my control deck.
