Well, I'm just curious about what you think about this new addition to Emerald version (*Inner voice* Don't you think it's a bit late to ask such thing?). Do you think it rocks/sucks? Is it worthy to spend/lose your time battling three generations of Pokémon in a single place? What 's your favorite battle facility?

And...a last question...do you find it challenging?

In my opinion, I think it was a great addition to the game, since the old Battle Tower had you bored with a very limited number of options to have a battle (Just 1-on-1 battles....*sarcastically* fascinaaaating, isn't it?). And now, the Battle Frontier offers you 7 options to battle a trainer (or lots of them; and don't forget to include the 2-on-2 battles). In conclusion, I think it rocks! :p

If a person who likes challenges finds a place like this, he or she might spend a good time in Battle Frontier (Ok, ok....if he/she wins periodically XD). And now, you can finally battle more Pokémon that have a different face than a foolish Roselia, Linoone, Alakazam, etc (talking about some common Pokémon of the old Battle Tower).

Oh, yeah, Battle Dome, Battle Pike and Battle Pyramid rock. One offers you a chance to build a better strategy against your opponent, other one tests your luck and guts to take a right or wrong door, and other that tests your stealth (sp?) and patience abilities to go through a floor to another.

And, one last thing, I find it a bit more challenging after several battles (more than 30 or 40, just like the old Battle Tower). Don't say the Battles Brains are crap, because some of them pretend to have an ace under the sleeve (oh...that sounded like...uh...clichéd... XD)

P.S: This is not propaganda for the Battle Frontier. DPT hasn't been payed for doing this kind of advertising crap. Scott, the founder of Battle Frontier, has nothing to do with DPT.

In my estimation, the battle frontier overall is a good addition... I have a few complaints about it however, such as to start out it takes quite a while to accumulate Battle Points, which would be used to make better pokemon movesets etc... But overall that is a small problem.

Another problem is a lot of losing I have seen comes from "fluke" wins such as your opponent scoring CHs against your pokemon, or the occational Double Team Pokemon getting lucky several times in a row to not get hit... (Not every pokemon uses Aerial Ace, Magical Leaf, Shadow Punch, Swift or even Haze that well :-P )

Overall I think this is a good addition tho...

It seems kind of rigged to me. I've only tried the battle factory so far, but it likes to screw me over (continuously) during critical moments in the battle, despite all probability. Example: my earthquake missing 3 TIMES IN A ROW, without reduced accuracy or increased evasion on the opponent's side. The only plausible explanation is lax incense/bright powder, but even those shouldn't warrant three misses of anear perfect accuracy move.

Could just be me, with my consistently inconsistent luck with anything that involves chance.

perhaps the mathmatical formulas they use to calculate stuff in Battle Frotnier was imported directly from colloseum, and we all know the prblems with THAT and the "fluke hit/fluke miss" scnearios! :D

Not to mention things like confusion, paralysis, sleep, attraction, and all that stuff! I mean, yeah it's more challenging, but if you're gonna put in a handicap at least tell us about it.

Freezing is the worst. I never get frozen during the main game but it seems to happen every second Ice Beam in Colosseum/Battle Frontier ;p

Anyways, I'm really liking the Battle Frontier. I pretty much ignored the Battle Tower in Crystal/R/S/FR/LG because of its repetitive nature but all the different tournament styles in the Battle Frontier keeps things fresh and interesting.

Is it tough? Yeah, after you go through the tournaments a few times the battles do get tougher, and nobody can tell me that being lost in the Battle Pyramid with no items is easy.

Another problem is a lot of losing I have seen comes from "fluke" wins

I fully agree with that statement. In the Battle Dome when you only have two Pokemon to work with things can turn ugly fast simply by the opponent having good luck. It really sucks when you've been building up wins just to be KO'd by a lucky critical or miss the opponent repeatedly. That's the name of the game, though, so I can deal with it.

Is it worthy to spend/lose your time battling three generations of Pokémon in a single place?

Totally, and the variety of Pokemon used is great. Battling the same Pokemon over and over again gets boring fast.

What 's your favorite battle facility?

I've spent most of my time in the Battle Dome, but all of the facilities have their pluses. I really like the Battle Pyramid for its unpredictability, and the Battle Factory is fun because you can use lots of different Pokemon without having to train 'em yourself. Partnering with someone for the Battle Tower's Multi-link challenge is interesting for the same reason (you get to fight along side Pokemon that aren't yours), even though your partner tends to do stupid things...
I need to try the other facilities a few more times to get a better feel for 'em. The Nature related one has the potential to be great but I don't think my Pokemon are built for it.

You mean Battle Palace? Hehehe, that place is annoying indeed. Just try to beat the leader of it (Spenser, the Palace Maven...or whatever...), he uses a Crobat, a Slaking and a Lapras. I got a bad time with him, especially when I experienced a shameful defeat (Lapras Vs Umbreon..owww...that Lapras used Horn Drill on Umbreon and....BAM!....my cute and mischievous creature fainted). My whole team has neutral natures, so I don't have problems with movesets, but perhaps a Gentle Pokémon could be....muahahaha...the most EVIL weapon around (or maybe not .:()

The Battle Frontier is a really good idea. I thought I was the only one to suffer fluke losses (and wins because there were times I shouldn't have won) at the Battle Dome. The only bad thing is I can't get up enough wins to meet a frontier brain but that's kinda part of the fun. The battle dome is my favorite but I also like the Battle Arena. The battles are short, sweet, and all out offensive just the way I like them. Finally, a place were annoyers and tanks are looked down on.

hey, I'm curious about something: Has someone beaten all the Battle Brains once (or twice)?

I'm having problems with Spenser, the Battle Palace leader. He has a quite annoying team and I can't find a way to beat him. I find the Battle Palce as the toughest facility in Battle Frontier. It's the only facility I have left to win all the Silver Battle Emblems/Badges.

T_T I can't imagine how it will be the second time I face those freaks. AHHH! I'm gonna die if I lose against Lucy's Seviper (talking about fluke losses, ROFL!)

I love battle pike, its so random its fun, ive spent alot of time in battle frontier in there, got to the brain and lost to the stupid shuckle after getting an OHKO on the seviper... damn protect....

Im just curious but what teams are most people using for the bulk of battle frontier, or are you changing with different places...
Im currently using

Girafarig
Blaziken
Torkoal OR Crawdaunt

for most of my matches, if im not using torkoal then i have a trio of types essentially with Psychic Dark Fighting...
