OOC-This is going to be a three on three battle. No switching, no evolving during battle, and no items.

I'll be using Minun, Houndoom, and Lotad. Their info is in my profile.

BIC-Samuel strode into a clearing in a forest near his hometown. It was quite large and was marked for pokemon battles. It was covered in high grass with large rocks sticking up from it. In the center was a pond. Though it wasn't that wide, it was quite deep, somewhere around 15 feet deep.

Samuel took his place in the trainers box along with his best friend Minus. The pair stood ready for battle as a flock of mighty Fearow flew overhead. Minus danced around on Samuels shoulder as it prepared for battle.

"Calm down Minus. You'll have your chace to battle soon." Samuel said to his furry, electic friend.

OOC:
Here’s the three that I’ll use:
Night – Absol (Grass / Pressure}
Hydra – Dragonair (Dark / Shed Skin)
Arbok (Flying / Shed Skin)

BIC:
The loud screeching of the pack of Fearows covered Rainer and Houndour’s sneaky arrival, taking their spots in the trainer box. Rainer looked across the battlefield, seeing a companion through the Steel Valley. Although Rainer has not seen much of this kid’s battle techniques, he knew that Samuel is not to be underestimated.

“Let’s go.” Rainer tossed out his first Poke-Ball, specifically a Friend Ball, containing a nasty streak of bad luck for his opponent. A loyal and pure Absol exploded out of the Friend Ball in mid-air, and quickly feel down, landing gracefully on one of the lager rocks being visible from the tall grass.

Night stared down at the small Pokemon, offering as much intimidation as the Bringer of Bad Luck could afford. Rainer knew that Night’s Pressure would slowly wear down the small Pokemon, but Rainer was not sure how hot this electric Pokemon could be… “I believe it is your move.” Rainer nodded to his opponent with a sense of curiosity, pondering how the young trainer would put on a show…

"Alright Minus, let's get out there and do it!" Samuel called out as his electric pokemon shot out into the grass.

The small cheering pokemon moves completely under the cover of the tall grass, moving the tall green strands very little. It was impossible for Samuel to see exactly where his pokemon was, so it would be very hard for the mighty Absol to see it as well. To keep an early advantage, Minus kept moving through the grass to prevent itself from being pinned down.

"Minus, Let's use your Flash attack and then hit that Absol with a Dynamic Punch!"

Minus lept up from the grass directly in front of the Absol and let out a massive flash of light from it's cheeks. The bright white flash was no more than two feet from the nose of the dark pokemon, so it must have at least taken a bit of effect. Minus dove back into the grass and ran around the side of the rock. Leaping up again it let out a glowing punch to the side of Absol with all the might that it's body could muster and just as quickly as it had launched it attack it disappered, not bothering to see if the attack had hit.

"This is going to be a tough battle." Samuel said to himself.

OOC: I am gonna auto Minus a bit, since I'll retort between Flash and Dynamic Punch, if you dont mind. If you do, I'll edit the post.

Rainer narrowed his eyes, knowing that Samuel definitely has the upper edge. Night was standing out without any protection from nature, while Minus could easily maneuver under the tall grass with minimal detection. Rainer knew the onslaught Minus will bring on would be painful, yet he never expected what will unfold next…

Samuel’s cry of the attack was Rainer’s only warning, since neither Night nor he can detect the small Pokemon. As soon as Rainer heard the command of Flash, Rainer quickly retorted with Night’s nifty counterassault. “Night, quick, Snatch!”

An electric Pokemon propelled up from the tall grass with a speed of bullet, trailing gushes of electrical surges. It brightened the entire battle field, but not before Night could transform into a streak of shadow, and stole the Flash attack for his own purpose. The out right counterattack might not have been effective at all, but it had save Night from being blinded momentarily.

Dynamic Punch came with a vengeance, however, thanks to its insanely low accuracy, and maybe due to some of the effect from Flash, Minus’ guerrilla-assault was easily evaded by the large Dark Pokemon. “Don’t give them time to breath, Icy Wind!”

Night howled up to the heaven as if a moon presented herself, calling for surges of might and power. Absol’s once black fur quickly grew into a chilling blue, sending waves of cool breezes to all direction. With a cry of determination, Night unleashed fluttering sheets of whiteness upon the grass and rocks. Shards of small ice and piles of white snow covered the entire field.

Rainer had planned not to damage Minus with this innocuous attack, but merely to make Minus easier to detect. Although the electric Pokemon could still hide under the tall grass, the low temperature should easily force the small Pokemon onto one of the rocks. Rainer can only sigh, as he just forced Night out of a tough situation – and he’s not sure how long he could do that…

Samuel frowned about the impressive move in Icy Wind that Absol had managed to use. The chilling wind made Samuel pull his jacket tight around himself as Minus couldn't help but leap from the tall grass. Minus took a stance as if it was ready to pounce on the mighty Absol that it faced on it's opposite rock perch.

"Minus, use your Swagger attack and then dive back into the grass as fast as possible and use Thunderbolt!" Samuel called out.

Minus got up to its feet and began to stumble around. It's body wailed around in a motion that seemed to be like a controlled muscle twinge. It's actions would raise the Absols attack, but also confuse it as well. As soon as the Swagger attack was done, Minus dove back into the chilled grass. Upon hitting the ground it sprinted around to another side of Absol's rock and let out a massive amount of electricity at Absol's body.

"You're Absol is amazing Rainer."

Rainer nodded at Samuel's comment on his Absol - truthfully, Rainer is exceptionally proud of his Pokemon as well. Night has only been part of Rainer's battle crew for a while, but he has earned a well-deserved spot with a wide variety of offensive assaults, as well as a couple of handy defensive maneuvers. One of them will be tested right now.

"Night, try a Substitute!" Night transformed into a streak of shadow once again, and then split into two. A part of the shadow slithered forward, away from Absol’s original position. At a blink of an eye, the two different shadows ascend out of their shadowy form, forming two identical version of Night. Although the two Dark Pokemon look exactly alike, their real identities are much different.

Minus’ taunting Swagger had absolute no effect on Night and his Substituted crony, who bravely took the menacing attack. No sooner after Swagger faded away, a horrific surge of electricity flashed down upon the fake Night, shattering the doll into a pure mist of darkness. Rainer was quite impress by the power the little creature packed, as not many Pokemon can destroy a Substitute in one single blow.

“Ok, that Miniun is exposed now, go for it!” Rainer nonetheless began his assault, letting Night utilize his favorite attack, the Tripe Slash. Night dashed forward like a giant hound dog, locking down his prey with all of his senses, ready to lash down a mortal blow. Hopping stone to stone with great efficiency and haste, Night closed into the little electric Pokemon.

Leaping from the last stone, Night torn into the air as his two front paws, along with the menacing scythe upon his forehead, glowed brightly in white, signaling the signature Triple Slash. Absol dived through the air and makes gravity his friend as he slashed downward in three consecutive strikes – two with paws, while the last with the deadly scythe…

"Minus, try to get out of the way before that attack hits!" Samuel called out to his blue and tan electric pokemon.

Minus began running forward to get off of the rock when the attack made contact. The two claws of the mighty Absol smashed into the top of the rock, but the scythe made full contact. The powerful slash sent the little Minun flying back into the top of another stone, leaving it's body beat up. Though it's frame was battered, it's spirit was still full of hope on winning.

"Minus, Rain Dance and then a Thunder attack!" Samuel called out to his pokemon.

Minus got back to it's feet and began spinning around to an unheard rythme. It's cheeks shone a light blue as the once calm sky began to twist with a mighty tempest. Sheets of rain pelted the battlefield as Minus finished it's dance to summon the mighty storm. Suddenly from the small, damaged form of Minus came a massive bolt of electricity that shot into the sky. Then, right above Night, the bolt reformed and came striking down.

"That's the way to do it Minus! Keep this up and we might win!" Samuel called out to ease the mind of his battered partner.

Upon hearing the command of Samuel, and seeing Minus to go into action, Rainer did not particularly gave any order to Night except a soft sigh. The Bringer-of-Bad-Luck watches on as he recovers from the rushing Triple Slash, being able to do nothing and let Minus go through with the Rain Dance.

Night knew exactly what is coming, and Samuel’s commands on confirmed the suspension. Night was faced with heavy odds, yet this determined Pokemon will try to out-run a strike of lightning. No matter how fast Night took up with his speed, the laws of nature cannot be defined as the lightning raced down with an impending doom. The Rain Dance only made the assault perfect, sending a surge of lighting into Absol.

A small explosion occurred out of the horrific assault, centering around the Dark Pokemon. Although the attack had been extremely well-crafted, and it even hit Night head-on, Rainer gave no heed to the Thunder, as it was only the first real damage done to Night. Confirming Rainer’s accuracy, Absol quickly got back to all fours, letting the soothing rain wash away his singes and burns from the explosion.

“Don’t let them intimidate us, blitzkrieg Shadow Ball!” Taking a large breath, Night dashed forward, blending perfectly with the darkened environment, thanks to the clouding rainstorm. Absol disappeared into the surrounding darkness of the tall grass, watching on Minus with a pair of daggering eyes. Winds lashed about as Night cornered in from all directions, all the while dark energy build up rather quickly.

Rushing forth from a lump of tall grass, Night howled as he leaped towards Minus on its left; a sphere of pure darkness preceded the Dark Pokemon as he closed in for a damaging assault. Without any warnings, Night fired the over-charged ball of energy, sizzling air and evaporating the nearby water into steam with immense amount of energy. An explosion rippled away from the Shadow Ball as it grew closer to Minus, before impacting the electric type.

Night reared back to his original rock, however, Rainer did not give him time to rest, nor did he give Samuel any. “Prepare a Future Sight.” Rainer’s voice trailed with the lashing storm, miraculously reaching Night. A small shadow slithered down into the ground as Night flashed his eyes for a split second – and the assault was prepared.

Rainer folded his arms as he awaited the result of the assault. Samuel and his Minus had definitely gave Night a run for his money, putting a great array of offensive powers. Rainer can only impatiently watch on, listening and waiting…

"Minus, use your Substitute attack now! Show them we can be defensive too!" Samuel called out as his clothing began to sag down with the weight of the falling water.

Minus shone a bright white color. It shot backwards from it's current position, leaving a dull image for itself. The sub stood strong as the attack bore down on it's frame. The massive black ball smashed into Minus's likeness and shattered it to nothing but dust. A fine white mist wafted over the stone where Minus stood. When the mist had lifted Minus was gone, no where to be seen.

"Minus you know what you need to do now, Metronome attack!" Samuel called out to his hidden friend.

After a few silent moments a massive red and green beam of energy shot forward from a patch of grass just a few feet infront of Night, the mighty Absol. The attack was sudden and quite beautiful to behold, not to mention that fact that it would be quite powerful at that range if it hit.

"YES! I got a Signal Beam when I needed it!" Samuel called out as he jumped up for joy at the sight of the bug type attack.

OOC-How soon will the Future Sight hit??

End of your next term.

"Oh no you don't! Night, teach 'em the same lesson once again!" Rainer bit his lower lip in anticipation as he watched the Shadow Ball start to shred the Substitute created by the small electric Pokemon. Night disappeared into a streak of shadow and raced towards the fading Substitute, reaching the doll before it was destroyed completely by the immense power of the Shadow Ball.

The shadow reappeared in the form of an Absol, yet another one quickly joined the real companion once again. Although Night’s Shadow Ball had become useless because of the Substitute, Abosl was able to steal the remaining mists of the barrier, creating a shield made of Minus’ powers.

With all of his worry placed on the Snatch attack, Rainer did not have time to prepare for the incoming Signal Beam, not to mention effectively counterattack against it. Night’s new found protection shattered into a mist of blackness once again, and it was quickly washed away from the drenching rain. Thanks to Night’s Snatching abilities, he could go on for a lot more.

Rainer wondered how long the small Pokemon could last, but its stamina had far exceeded Rainer’s expectations, even under the influence of Night’s constant Pressure. “Don’t let it dodge the next one, Feint Attack!” This time, Rainer’s voice boomed over the rain clouds, letting Night hear the message loud and clear. Night disappeared, fittingly into the night of the storm, and magically popped into reality behind the unguarded Pokemon, lunging forward for a slashing motion with the sharp scythe.

OOC:
Hope my contineous Snatches are not superplaying (as i dont believe it is, it is just really annoying), it's just that Snatch is among one of my favorite moves in PRP.

"MINUS!" Samuel called out as his trusted electric pokemon was struck hard by the dark pokemon.

Minus was thrown into the air and onto a nearby rock. It's body was skuffed and weakened beyond the point of being able to fight anymore. Samuel got out it's pokeball and returned his powerful electric friend. Samuel looked down at the ball sadly and placed it on his belt. A small tear formed in his eye as a feeling of letting his pokemon down washed over him. The down feeling was taken over by a fit of odd anger that washed over him and caused him to grab a new pokeball.

"SHADOW, LET'S GO!!" Samuel shouted in a bit of a fit of rage.

The bright white light exploded onto a rock near Samuel's side of the field. The light began to fade and a dark pokemon was created. It's black and orange fur shone softly in the bit of light that was around. Two bone horns climbed off it's head in a ark backwards. The form was a mighty Houndoom.

"Shadow, use Sunny Day and then Flamethrower at the grass!" Samuel called out to his large dog pokemon.

Shadow threw it's head up and sent a beam of orange energy high into the sky. The sheets of rain were replaced by a clearing sky and then super bright sunlight. The grass began to dry and the ground beneath began to harden again, thus it began to trap Absol in the ground that it now stood on. Shadow let out a howl towards the sky and then faced the ground.

"Do it now Shadow!" Samuel called out as his anger began to fade.

Shadow shot out a massive stream of flame at the ground before him. The grass was engulfed by the fire and the entire field was set ablaze, including the ground where Absol stood. The only safe places now were the rocks that stood just above the grass. The sea of flames licked at the Houndoom's feet in a way that made him even more frightening, along with powering up his Flash Fire ability.

Suddenly from the right a large purple orb shot forward and smashed into Shadow. The orb's energy whipped around the hounds body, but did no damage. Shadow let out another howl as it looked over it's field of flames.

"That's the way to handle it Shadow. This is the way to use the field to our advantage." Samuel said as he took a step back from fire to protect himself.

Rainer quickly withdrew Night without any hesitance, absorbing Absol back to his spherical home. No sooner then the Bringer-Of-Bad-Luck is withdrew, a wave of super heated flame washed over the entire field. First melting all the cool snow, then singe all the rest of the grass, forming a wasteland of charred rocks and debris.

The destruction of the battle field both scared and impressed Rainer, seeing Samuel had unleashed yet another formidable foe. “No matter, Hydra, you’re up.” Rainer threw forth a regular Poke-Ball this time, letting the spherical object set on top of a rock before it exploded into arrays of lights. An elegant drake-like Pokemon surged forth, radiating light and energy as she took the field. Dragonair cried in emotional pain as she sensed the burning fires around her, quickly going into action.

Every Dragonair have control of the weathers, as these mystical Pokemon generally controlled human catastrophes in oceans and shores. Hydra’s painful eyes flashed an icy blue as an aura quickly enveloped around her, cooling down a foot radius all surrounding her. The aura developed into a beam of concentrated energy, and Hydra send the day blind as she propelled the energy into the heavens above.

The eternal light came to a rest as storm clouds took control of the sky, thunder rumbled in the distant. The night cast down on the entire field once again, and it was quickly accompanied by the lashing storm. The fire licking the entire field was quickly put out, cooling the environment with drenching downpours.

“Payback time. Hydra, Surf!” With the power of the heavens with her, Hydra converted her peaceful nature into a dangerous one, concentrating with the storm above her. Energy poured out of her as a fifteen-foot wave climbed up behind the Dragon Pokemon, ready to devour the entire field. The Surf rode forward as Hydra disappeared into the massive column of water, yet her energy strongly urged the Water attack to go on. A massive surge of water, along with Hydra in the midst of it, collapsed heavily towards Houndoom…
