im thinking maybe
3 Vedalken Shackles
3 powder kegs.
only problem with this is that it really doesnt leave me with as many blue pitchable sources to FoW as i would have liked...ideas/comments?
i really wanted the chalices but most of the time they are going to be put on 1 and thats going to shut down StP and brainstorm. i will probabally put these SB for against trendils decks.
also what do you guyz think of pithing needle? is it worth its weight or just over inflated?

inflated- read 1 card, vs. rod which is 2 mana to shut down a board

Forget U/W classic control, just use Landstill-It's by far the best control deck im this format.

eh... not really
Landstill has weaker match up against most aggro and survival advantage decks than most other control decks. It is strong against most other permission based control decks. It dies horribly to hand disruption such as Duress/Hymn/Hyp Spectre. Or decks with graveyard recursion coupled with solid mana base can trump over it.
However, Classic UW (which what you are playing) is even worse....
Chalice, Keg are all too slow. You don't want back to basics MD.
You shouldn't have too much difficulty against tendril decks.... Just learn what to counter vs those decks. If you can pin down a key spell, you'll win. Try mulligan for a FoW at start. You'll be fine.
If you insist on playing that deck.
You need at least 3 Wrath of God or Shackle.
Stifle can also be MDed. 2 to 3 usually. They comes in handy vs Deed, wasteland, fetchland, etc etc. They are rarely dead.

Landstill has bad matchups vs Survival? LOL, ok.........now I have heard everything. Landstill is the best control deck in the format, hands down. Counters, great draw and manipulation the best removal in the game of Magic, solid uncounterable win conditions, makes for a winning decklist. And, on top of that, Landstill is so versatile, you can easily alter it to suit your metagame probs. And, what deck isnt hurt by discard, lol? Landstill is a great winning deck, especially in the hands of a good player.

Basically for blue based decks wise it's basically either U/W Landstill or it's Solidarity.
It looks like you've got a nice collection of cards so why not try Vintage?

i do. i have a complete foil CS deck. im only missing the power. i havent gone to many big tournies yet though. i came 9th at the last 1 i went to. :( i was knocked out of top 8 by a TPS deck that ended up coming second. even though in testing i beat TPS almost 75% of the time...but thats magic right.
which do you think stands a better chance. Wubs or bbs?

I personally despise both for Legacy. Legacy is basically full of Combo/Agro/Landstill
A combo deck that is amazingly fun is Nausea(Tendrils deck)
