good card. . .hard to put into play from your opening hand, and very in flavor with red. . .a 2-mana land that works. . .

Difficult to template; perhaps "~ can't be played unless a creature dealt combat damage this turn has been put into a graveyard from play."

...Or something like that. I don't think the game knows whether combat damage has actually "sent" a creature to a graveyard; it only knows whether a creature has been dealt combat damage and whether it's been sent to the graveyard. See vampires, Kumano's Blessing, etc.

still if it's "a creature delt combat damige this turn is put into the graveyard" it wont be exactly the same but it will still restrict it from being a first turn drop. However, if you drop a one mana goblin on the first turn and shock any creature that blocks it you could genetate four mana by turn three.BUt the player has to have a creatur on the first (or their second) turn that they are willing to block with. It could go eather way.

"My gosh could this be a potentaly balanced two mana land:eek: "

I like it. Nothing like the early fodder to accelerate the game winning cards.

why thank you all. any templating issues?

Traditionally there's a "You may play ~ only", but I wonder if the "you may" is really really neccessary in contemporary templating.

One thing that does concern me slightly about the card is that any color can use it no problem. White weenie, green beats, black agro... maybe not blue skies, but I'm not sure it's balanced for the other three.

I like it a lot. perhaps to prevent other colors using it, have it only be played if a creature damaged by a red creature in combat or something similar. I like it how it is though.

i think the fact that it adds rr keeps it from needing limitation in being used in other decks

I disagree, if it's a different color deck, its essentially an ancient tomb with a different draw back. I like this card either way.

do you all think i should add some kind of red only drawback?

I think that the restriction doesn't work, because technically state-based effects are sending the creature to the graveyard, not combat damage.

maybe i should change it to if a creature went to the graveyard

don't forget to say "from play"

no dont change it. it makes spark elemental usfull after turn 1. You know it attacks.... kills a weenie..... dies in the proses and you drop this.
