When the enchanted creature is destroyed do I choose a new target? What happens?

If Threads of Disloyalty is currently enchanting a creature, and the creature that it is attached to is destroyed, then Threads of Disloyalty will be put in the graveyard as it is no longer enchanting a legal permanent. You do not get to put it on a new creature, unless some other effect allows you to move it to another creature.

Okay, it's the first time, but I have a question regarding this card. Would I be able to move it (the Threads) with Autumn-Tail to a creature with a higher cmc?

You could, but Threads of Disloyalty would go to the graveyard the next time state-based effects are checked. Since Threads only targets when it is played, you could legally move it to another creature (if you had an effect that allowed it), but it would simply go to the graveyard if it was moved to something it could not legally enchant.

That's not right actually; you couldn't move it to a higher cmc ceature.

212.4e ...The permanent or player to which the enchantment is to be moved must be able to be enchanted by it. If it isn’t legal, the enchantment doesn’t move.

Woah. I always thought it was the statebased thing. Never thought of that Zim. Thanks!
