Hi guys. I'm opening this thread cause i wanna discuss the current environment of Pokemon. In this particular order...
1) I'm trying to find out whats the most common age of players for the game.
2) I'm trying to figure out which is the most commonly played element.
3) What's the most popular trainer that's always and instant inclusion.
4) What do you think is currently the most un-fun deck to meet.

Since it's my post, i'll go first.
1) I'm actually 21... pretty old for a pokemon player i think...
2) I tend to lean towards water cause it seems a large number of rare's are there...
3) Rare candy is in no matter what i play...
4) I think the Crex deck is pretty un-fun ( although i started it )...

Might wanna move this to the Strategy forum, but, since you insist...

1. 18, but I see plenty of middle-aged people playing.
2. Dark, possibly Water. Dark has DragTrode and RocLoc, 2 of the most dominant decks in the format today, while Water has LudiCargo varients.
3. Retriever. Everything else, I think, is just shy of being a deck staple, even the renowned Steven and Candy.
4. Zapdos. So dam fast, I just can't keep up with it...

1. 15, probably more of the average than most
2. Psychic. Gardevoir, Ducslops, Gengar... etc.
3. Steven's Advice- show me one good deck that doesn't include it
4. Not real sure. If you yourself are playing a fun deck, it is usually hard to find and un-fun matchup. However, if I had to pick one, it would be a creation of my own called Revenge of the Sith. It will almost always win when setup.

Not sure why you guys aren't really supportive of my little survey. Thanks to whicker and bullados for contributing. sadly, all i've found out is that i'm a really old player compared to the rest of you guys. oh yeah. Final Question...

Any female players out there?? Know of any??

Yes.
A lot of my friends that play are girls.

I know of only 2 in my area, and one quit about a year ago when her mother couldn't drive her to league anymore, and nobody within half an hour of her has a car or goes to league.

I'm a female player, and I know of only one other player in my country (Ireland.) I'm planning a tournament in a few months. Hopefully I get a few players.

marvel's been getting lots of support but i find the game a little to obstructive with the factions and such. also, a lots of the cards tend to be really high priced and tat drives quite a few players away.

That is what kept me from being such a big VS player, the prices. I really enjoyed it for awhile until I realized the the only good draw card (Genosha) was upward in the $40 for ONE. That wasn't the only card up there either.

price is everything when i comes to games.
i guess that the reason why Magic and Pokemon can still survive.
the cheapest card game of all however is still Yugi Oh! I don't play it cause it's not in English and the English cards end up bein pretty expensive due to translation costs.

1) I'm trying to find out whats the most common age of players for the game.

I'm 22, almost 23.

2) I'm trying to figure out which is the most commonly played element.

Dark or water, from what I've seen so far.

3) What's the most popular trainer that's always and instant inclusion.

For me? Professor Birch.

4) What do you think is currently the most un-fun deck to meet.

No idea yet. I heard a few complaints about rocklock, but I don't know what that is.
