The hell is the point of this series? Alright, I'm not that big of a DC fan so I don't know all the various powers that everyone may or may not have to stop an unstoppable army of indestructible and all powerful zombies, but all this really seems to be building up to is one solution (and only one) solution to the problem. And everyone is going to be screwed over until that solution becomes clear.

Call me a cynic (and everyone does anyway) but I really see no point in a series in which the core series (and all the spin off mini series titles) are just "Good guys are all losing and losing horribly" until, in the central arc, "hey look, XXX has discovered the solution! Now let us all win together!" This is the reason that World War Hulk sucked as well. ***spoilers ahead*** You had dozens of comics that were all just "Hulk kicks YYY's *** for 10 pages". Ghost Rider (though it was more of a draw), the X-men, the Avengers, Iron Man, the Initiative, everyone who fought the hulk lost. Even in the last issue where Hulk loses, he still spends half of it beating the hell out of Sentry.***Spoilers end***

Civil War didn't have those issues. Secret Invasion kinda did. Messiah Complex didn't have that. The fact of the matter is that there should at least be some kind of tension beyond "how are they going to fix this?" There should be SOMETHING other than "boy we're screwed, boy we're screwed, boy we're screwed, hey we're not screwed any more!" which will just be created by some random crap device or location or new hero/old hero with new powers who will swoop in and save the day.

How incredibly boring.

I just got through reading the prologue to blackest night and it was a good read, It seems this is just fallout from the sinestro corps war.

WWH was awesome, don't know what version you read but it was one of the hottest comics in ages.

Not into DC much but Blackest night seems ok.

It does give more into the rest of the Lantern Corps. As a big fan of the Lantern series, that's what drew me to it.

They have the black lantern rings on ebay. They look the best so far.
