At the beginning of each end step, if you drew two or more cards this turn, you may put a quest counter on Archmage Ascension.
As long as Archmage Ascension has six or more quest counters on it, if you would draw a card, you may instead search your library for a card, put that card into your hand, then shuffle your library.

this card is pretty awesome... it can potentially make any draw card a tutor card...

yep. with a play like t2 mines, t3 ascension, you get to tutor TWO cards a turn. wow... turn 9 isnt even really difficult to get to.

6 counters is pretty high...
I mean, people could wait 4 turns for anscestral vision, but that was a p9 variant with no additional investment required.
I've got serious doubts is what I'm saying.

its an ok card, nah actually its really good but all cards like these are doing is forcing people to run enchant/arty removal more than they did, possibly even start running them maindeck. These days most decks dont even run maindeck enchant/arty killers, but back in the days you either ran them maindeck or you got owned. It appears times are going back to the old days.

@ken- yep. im dubious myself. but i dont find it a stretch for a control player to buy 6 turns with this active. a number of control deck staples can easily provide the card draw needed for its trigger. its not for every deck thou i must admit.
@damaja- it seems that way. but it all depends how good the other quests turn out to be. blacks are pretty meh if you ask me. fingers crossed for red :D

It takes 6 turns and another draw card in play. NOPe

hellkite has the right idea. I think the only way this will ever see play is in a Howling Mine deck. Decks like those can easily fog or otherwise buy time for 6 turns; heck, they can just Time Warp for more turns.
It's really bad without a Howling Mine in play, though, so it probably won't make the cut in a Time Sieve deck.

its gonna get tested in legacy. Landstill, Brainstorm, Library, it's all good.

this card is not good i mean if you get the 6 quest counters on it it is insane but the odds that it will happen is just not good
Meh, it's pretty bad. Very slow card and when playing the time sieve deck it's only on rare occasions you don't draw something useful when you got howling mine(s) in play.

another application I see, which I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned yet, is Jace. He adds counters nicely...

Clockspinning is gonna make a big comeback
/sarcasm.
(Although that does ACTUALLY work, mind you. Just not so fast as to make it super bah-roken. And Gilder Bairn. Yay.)

It is decent. Tutor every turn will make sure you are drawing the cards you need to stall with for turbofog. w/r/u might be possible in the future.

Pulled this in the prerelease. My thirst thought was Compulsion. Get counters on your opponent's team w/no benefit to them as with HM.
