*shock horror!*
Yep, that's right, for one day only(this Saturday), from 1:00 to 5:00, you can head over to the grand re-opening of the Pokemon Center(or Nintendo World, whatever the hell it's called now...) and obtain the elusive Mystic Ticket! For those of you that don't know yet, the Mystic Ticket allows entrance into Navel Rock, home of Lugia and Ho-oh.
Alls you need to do is head over to Rockefeller Center in New York and bring a GBA, wireless adapter, and an FR/LG/E cartridge. A staff member sends the ticket to you and voila! You now have access to Navel Rock(that is, if you've beaten the Elite Four ;))
And for the Pokemon Dash players....if you've finished all cups, you can get the special Munchlax course. Ehehehehe...stupid lack of DS. >.<

Well, I know I'M going. It's so great living (relatively) near PCNY/NWNY, I don't really have to go anywhere for all these tickets...

Dammit all to hell. Well great. Not only do I not live anywhere NEAR the stupid pokemon center, but the Action Replay codes that are SUPPOSED to allow the tickets to work, don't do anything. so yeah, I'm slightly peeved. especially since I JUST started playing Fire Red a few weeks ago, and am JUST gonna get Emerald tomorrow it yet again illustrates how fast you have to play through pokemon games in order to get anything. (and even if I DID finish Fire Red/Leaf Green long ago, I would want that ticket for Emerald too, but since you can't send the tickets over from one game to the other, that means that I would have to have finished Emerald in 13 days AND get to new York to get the ticket. Yeah, that's fair.

Meh. Any ideas?

You have to finish the game to get the ticket? It didn't work that way for the aurora ticket... (iirc)

You'd need the National Dex to get Ho-oh and Luiga. So you'd have to finish the game to get the ticket to get them.

Not really. I'm pretty sure you can get the ticket but not be able to use it UNTIL you get the National Dex.

Yes. That's how it worked in my FR. I was able to obtain the ticket long before I was able to actually use it to go to birth island.

I think it's the same here. My sister has the ticket but she can't use it.
As for the identifying crap....how about a special signal or something? =/

Special signal? What do you mean?
I suggest we continue this through PMs to avoid spam.

You can't really compare Emerald to FR/LG becasue in FR/LG you can activate teh Mystery Event at any time (even right at the beginning when you get to the first shop) but Emerald (I THINK, anyway. Based on Ruby and Saphire, not actually sure) you can't activate the mystery Event system until after the fifth badge (I think. Either that or after you finish the game) becuase you activate Ymstery Events in different ways in each game. So in FR/LG you can get the tickets at any time because you can activate the Mystery Events from the moment you go into your first store (IF you know how) but Emerald (again, based purely on assumption from Ruby/Saphire) you cannot activate it until either after the fifth badge or until you finish the game (not sure which) so you can't really compare it to FR/LG

The thing is....Emerald now uses Mystery Gift instead of Events. :p Sorry!

Meh. I do have to admit that, were the timing of this different, I would've flown to NY today. However, I can't go on holiday this close to my kiddies' exams (or they'll be blaming me if they do badly). I considered couriering my game cartridges over to a friend who lives in NY, but one of my NY friends is terminally unreliable while the other has a mobility problem that means she wouldn't be able to stand around in a queue for hours on end.
So I've decided not to get upset about this particular promotion. I already have Ho-oh from Colosseum. IF XD is actually called something or other "Dark Lugia", I'm suspecting there'll be an unlockable Shadow Lugia that needs purifying somewhere in it as a bonus for completing the game "fully". Yup.
So who was the bonus "celebrity"?!

No ifs about it, that's the translation from both the Coro Coro scans and the official Nintendo Website:
Pokemon Xtra Dimension: Dark Winds, Dark Lugia.
With the Dark Lugia confirmed as obtainable.
As for the bonus celebrity, I doubt we'll find out until a press release comes out on Monday... Unless L00gs actually got off her arse and went. ^^

I didn't pay attention. Shall see bout Lugiasian.
And lines are for fools. There was literally nothing stopping you from walking up to the side of the download area and getting the ticket instead of standing on a two-block-long line.

I had to stand in line like everyone else. :p
Anyway, I had lots of fun. I answered that quiz thingy and won an Ex Emerald deck. =D I also got the Mystic Ticket, all 4 buttons, the Pichu TCG card, and a Sceptile plushy my mom bought for me. ^_^
Oh, and I traded with a guy named David. =D He's my new Pokefriend. ^^
And can you believe that the stupid people there thought Pokemon XD was called Colosseum 2?! ROFLMAO.
Saturday was much fun. ^_____^

You should have yelled out it's full title:
Pokemon Xtra Dimension: Dark Winds, Dark Lugia.
They'd probably have said "Don't be stupid." ^^

Ummmmm...you're a little late, Lee. Try 2 days ago, maybe?

Hey, you need to think in five dimensions, child. There is the small possibility that you will come by a time machine. Then you may retroactively go back in time, and stealthily turn your own cap backwards. Barring some sort of quantum paradox, this should successfully help you to recognize your past self.
ZAKtheGeek

Well, any intelligent individual would obviously have considered that option. However, someone of equal or greater intelligence would have noted that I wasn't even wearing any hat. :D

So? Turn your scalp backwards.
