View Full Version : Question about playing harpies feather duster

Here's the scenario: I have last turn and wall of revealing light face down with Jowgen on the field face down. My opponent draws his card, I activate W.O.R and sacrifice 7000 lp. My question is this; when do I get to activate last turn.

I waited for him to make the next move; he activated harpies feather duster, so I countered with last turn. Does harpie wipe out my last turn?

If you have any suggestion on what I could have done to make this work let me know.

Yes, harpies duster wipes out last turn, but last turn still resolves :). So they just basically wasted duster :P.

Why? Thats how chains work lets break it into teh leet chain.

Step1: Your opponent plays Duster
Step2: you chain to duster with last turn.

Outcome:
Step 2 Resolves (last turn)
Step 1 Resolves (duster)

That is how chains work, the last card that was activated resolves first, and the first card activated resolves last. Basically the things are reversed :P

H.F.D used, last turned chained so last turn goes through. simple.

Of course, you can activate "Last Turn" during their Draw Phase (after they draw) or Standby Phase, if you want.

Also...Did I read that right? "...with Jowgen on the field face down."

If "Jowgen the Spiritualist" is face-down, your opponent WILL be able to Special Summon a monster via "Last Turn"'s effect. So, I hope that was just a typographical error.

Kenjiblade:

but could the player not select jowgun and change his position to face up then the opponent could not select ther monster!

For the win? or does jowgun have to stay face down?

Remember, "Last Turn" can only be activated during the opponent's turn, so you are not allowed to manually change your monster's position (and "Last Turn" does not have any kind of effect that would let Jowgen become face-up).

So, if you intend on preventing your opponent from Special Summoning, I'd suggest having Jowgen already face-up prior to activating "Last Turn".

But doesn't last turn say pick a monster? Therefore if I choose jowgen would'nt it get flipped face up?

Basically if I plan on playing this combo I should use wall to lower my LP below 1000 and have jowgen face up then when my opponent goes into their draw phase I should activate last turn?

since when has picking a monster equal flipping a monster face up?

Yes, you end your turn with Jowgan face up, durring thier draw phase/standby phase or even later in the turn, you activate Wall, pay down till you are 1000 or lower, then activate Last turn. now you have a really good chance of winning the game.

Can I activate wall then immediately activate last turn or do I need to wait for the opponent to respond?

no, you gotta wait for a response. They may be able to counter the activation of the wall (not that you wouldn't still lose the LP) but if they play a counter trap, you can't chain Last Turn. You have to wait until whatever they activate resolves - they may flip up "Poison of the Old Man", taking your last 800 LP.
