Name a Nonland card. Target opponent shuffles his or her library and puts the top three cards of his or her library into their graveyard. If one of the cards is the named card you win the game.

Epic.

Epic.

You should not use mechanics that have not been officially released...

I think it's becoming a trend in the last few posts I've looked at...

Anyway, this card is a bit too good. 3 card removal every turn, all you have to do is sit back and a) wait for the card to show up, or b) deck them.

Last time I checked one of the spoilers, there was a white card with epic. It allowed you to get an enchantment from your deck every turn. There is a drastic margin between the power of this card and that one.

I'd wait for something more than seeing a card, such as an addition to the comprehensive rules and some FAQs about...

too good, i think. . .but cool concept. . .like this, i'd limit it to 1 card. . .free, reusable insta-win is strong. . .if you want to go another route, an epic milling card is a good idea, too. . .

I never build cards with block mechanics as soon as they are released, but it's technically been previewed and as such is fair game. =/

Technically it's been previewed but most of the cards i've seen look like forced cards which would have worked better as enchantments... and some of them just don't work as their makers wanted...
However, it's the same as the horde of ninjas when Ninja of the Deep Hours was previewed...

-shrugs- It happens every set.

1. New mechanic is previewed.
1a. Board flooded with confused, half thought out cards.
2. New mechanic is explained in detail.
2a. Corrections made to badly templated 1a cards.
3. Board gets cards assigning new ability to everything if possible.

There's a card that got to the 3rd point missing 2 and 2a... the original version of Spellspring Arcana (http://forum.tcgplayer.com/showthread.php?t=18855) having an epic spell with Splice...

Heck, the white Epic could be abused. Think White Epic+the black enchantment that was previewed recently+any discard. Mix in Parallax's and other powerful enchantments and this card could be crazy.
As for this card...no. This is fairly broken as it is, and after sideboard, this is far too powerful. Maybe reduce penalties to "lose 7 life" or something like that or maybe add a restrictive penalty on yourself.

Might be the only time an opponent would Cranial Extraction himself.

I may be in the minority here, but this actually looks like a decent Epic spell - it allows you to win the game eventually, but doesn't assure it immediately. There are ways around it - tutoring, self-milling, etc., as well as Reito Lantern to get some cards back. If your opponent does find a way around it, you're screwed.
