x 78 A small girl groaned, she hated math. This red-headed girl was laying on her bed, in a pink bedroom in Flordia.
"Why can't homework just do it's self?" She muttered. The girl picked up her pencil and began to write on a paper. 50932 - 80=...
"Skye! Dinner!" shouted Skye's mother.
Skye put her pencil down and slowly walked out of her bed room, into a hallway of may simalar doors, with one window. She started to run, only stoping when she pasted the window, for the window was gone. In it's place lay a big blue door with a red and white sphere hanging from the doornobe. Skye grabbed the ball, and opened the door, wondering what this door had in store for her, she stepped inside it.

Chapter 1 Part 1

Skye looked around, she was standing in some sort of lab. There were tones of equipment lying on the white floor. Was this what mom did when I’m at school, she wondered. Skye turned around, hoping to go back and confront her mom, but when she turned she was looking a picture of a red doggy thing. Okay… this was definitely weird, Skye thought, this looks like one of these pictures I draw at school.
“Looking at my Growlithe? Don’t blame you, though. It is really cute,” said a voice behind Skye. She turned around, face to face with a green haired woman wearing a white coat. Skye frowned, she looked like a scientist.
“I’m Professor April. Nice to meet you,” Prof. April said, holding out her hand.
“Hi. I’m Skye Cloud. Ah… What is that?” Skye glanced at the Growlithe.
“Don’t tell me you don’t know about pokemon!” Prof. April looked shocked.
“Sorry, no,” Skye muttered.
“No problem. You look about 10. It couldn’t hurt to give you a pokemon,” Prof. April said, “Come with me.”
Prof. April led Skye into a room. On a table were three spheres, like the one she grabbed earlier.
“I all ready have one of those balls,” Skye said showing her the tiny ball in her fist.
“Good. Here’s five pokeballs and a pokedex. And because I’m nice, I’ll throw in a backpack with paper, pencils, food, and 20$ for lodging tonight,” Prof. April said, handing her a purple backpack.
“Thanks,” Skye grinned at the professor, “ Pokemon, go!” Skye rolled the pokeball on the smooth tile.
“Ditto, Dit, Ditto!” Shouted a purple blob.
“It’s so cute!” Skye said, walking closer to the Ditto. Suddenly the Ditto slithered up to Skye and turned into an exact replaca of her.
“AAHHH!” screamed Skye, falling on the floor, with terror.
“He, he, he,” laughed the Ditto, shrinking to it’s normal self.

Chapter 1 Part 2

“What is that thing? It’s creepy!” Skye announced.
“That’s a Ditto. Were did you get that? It’s habitats aren’t normally near here,” Asked Prof. April.
“Uh… My mom gave it to me,” Skye stuttered.
“Okay. You better hurry up and get going on your journey. Remember to have fun,” Prof. April waved good-bye as Skye walked out of the laboratory.
“Okay ditto. Turn into a pokething,” Skye said, calling out Ditto. Her ditto jumped onto her head, turning into a yellow, straw hat.
“Thanks,” Skye called. She began to walk on the dirt road. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a bush move.
“I challenge you to a pokemon battle!” yelled a load voice from behind her.
“Challenge accepted,” Skye shouted. A blonde boy ran onto the rode.
“Hi. I’m Mark. Go Charmander!” Mark screamed. His pokeball produced an adorable, orange, Charmander. Skye took her hat off and threw it in front of Charmander. Ditto took it’s original shape. Skye grabbed a yellow item in her backpack.
“Charmander. This fire type pokemon is known for it’s ember attack. Charmander is bad when fighting with water pokemon,” Said the electric device.
“Charmander, Ember!” Mark yelled.
“Ditto, Water pokemon, now!” shouted Skye. The Ditto transformed into a Squirtle as Charmander blew little balls of fire at the Ditto.

Will Ditto survive this sudden battle?

Chapter 2 Part 1

“Char?” Charmander squealed as Ditto dodged all five of them. Skye took her chance and shouted to Ditto, “Ditto, water bomb!” The now blue Ditto squirted four small balls of water at the helpless Charmander. As the water hit Charmander, it fell to the floor.
“How could you?” Mark yelled, running to his fainted pokemon. He summoned his pokemon back in its pokeball.
“My first pokemon…” Mark mumbled.
“Sorry! I didn’t mean it,” Skye said, looking down at her white shoes. Mark stepped on her shoe, running down the road.
“Ditto. Hat please,” Skye whispered. Ditto slithered up her body, changing into a yellow hat. She slowly walked down the road. How could I have been so stupid? Skye thought angrily, Now I have an enemy!

“Ditto… dit dit,” Ditto cried. Skye grinned; she is so cute. I’m lucky to have such a… what was it again? Oh yea, a pokemon.
Skye walked into a small town square with lots of people swarming in and out of many buildings.
“Hello. Can you tell me where the nearest hotel is?” Skye asked a woman with three yellow pokemon following her.
“There is no hotel in Olde Town. There is a pokemon center down the street though,” She answered.
“Thanks!” Skye said brightly, running towards the center.
Skye ran into a blonde boy again.
“It’s you!” Mark said, “You defeated me. Here’s your winnings,” He handed Skye 30$.
“Thanks. Want a rematch?” She smiled, showing her pearly teeth.
“And have you beet me again? No way,” He frowned, “Besides, I already won 4 battles.”
“Okay. Do you want to travel with me then?” Skye asked. Mark nodded his head.
“Let’s go,” He said, “I want you to see my mother and father.” Mark grabbed her hand, dragging her to a large blue house.

It's all happening a bit too quickly in my opinion. Skye doesn't really have any thoughts or emotions in this story, and all the action just seems to flow by. But, having said that, the plot is quite intriguing so I hope you take my advice and make a good fanfic.
