View Full Version : Question about Pokémon Box
hey everyone, I need to know how many pokémon need to be deposited in Box to get a Ralts with Wish, ive checked online in places such as Pokécharms etc and they all have no record of when even though I have read before about wishing ralts' and on netbattle it clearly states a Ralts with wish is available through pokémon box.... Anyone got any info for me?

No Ralts with wish in Box. That was an error made on Serebii.

According to Tails333 at GameFAQs, the eggs in Pokemon Box are:
Swablu that knows False Swipe - at the start of the game.
Zigzagoon that knows Extremespeed - when you store 60 Pokemon.
Skitty that knows Pay Day - when you store 500 Pokemon.
Pichu that knows Surf - when you store 1,499 Pokemon.
He also says that if you transfer Pokemon from different cartridges to Pokemon Box, the game resets back to the Zigzagoon egg (!). The way round this is apparently to transfer all your 1499 Pokemon to a single cartridge and then all back to Pokemon Box. Eeek.
Apparently, you also can't evolve your Surfing Pichu into a Surfing Pikachu and then breed Surf onto another Pichu. So if your Pichu turns out to have appalling stats or a crappy nature, you are stuck with it.

You can't do that. The reason you can store 1500 Pokemon in Box is because you physically CAN'T in the games. I'm not sure what the limit is, but it's only a few hundred.
The way to get a surfing Pichu is to load all your pokemon from one game onto Box, save, exit, go back in and bring them all back. Save, Exit, Put them back, rinse and repeat and bang, you'll have 1499 transfers in - which is what it counts.
And yes, you do have to be warned that by using a new game with Box, it resets your count and all your details. What's saved are your Pokemon (though you can't transfer them to your new game until/unless you have 100 Pokemon caught in that game) and the little crappy stand things.

If you get this problem, just start with a new game and do the same method I mentioned earlier. Mind you, Pichu, Pikachu and Raichu ALL have appalling stats anyway. But surf can be handy - especially if you're wanting a Kamikaze Pikachu (http://www.pokecharms.com/clinic/checkups/02.php).

Or if you want a Rain Dancing Pikachu/Raichu similar to Lanturn (Thunder/Surf/ Rain Dance/Filler). Raichu is bad, but no worse than some of the other Pokemon I've seriously used (Magcargo).
I still need to pick up Box. Once I get my credit card it's mine >=)

so, Gary, you DON'T have to put in 1,499 pokemon, you just need to have 1,499 TRANSFERS? That's terrific! The Gameboy games can only hold a maximum of 420 Pokemon (14 boxes X 30 Pokemon in each) So I really don't have to put in 1,499 pokemon, I just have to transfer the 420 I have over and over and over again until I get the 1,499? That's SO great to hear!
And Linkachu, I just found out (when I had to get a replacement for my silver controller) that you actually DON'T need a credit card (which is why I haven't gotten box yet) just find out how much the game will be (because of the US/Canadian exchange rate and I know you're in Canada) then just go to the post office and get a money order (I think the money order I got for my controller only cost me an extra 5 bucks at the post office. It's cheaper than at a bank anyway) and send it to Nintendo and voila! no credit card needed! I personally REALLY need to get this game ASAP because with Diamond and Peral coming (yes, Nintendo changed the name from Pearl to Peral. No, i'm not too lazy to hit the delete key! :D ) who knows how long Pokemon Box will be available. If only Pokemon box worked with Emerald but oh well. (and I don't mean the transferring pokemon part, because I know that works, I mean the playing the game on the TV part) but oh well.
