elf lord/ priest of titania. with WoG gone, this seems like it would push mono green elf overrun strategies.

Wow. If this is any indication, elves are gonna be huge in M10.

I never had the chance to play with Priest of Titania. Now, I can!
Thank you WOTC!
There are a ton of ways to push this card with a ton of strategies.

Holy Balls. And with mana burn gone, theres no potential downside with a big field. Why are elves always so freaking strong? They seem to be viable most of the time... And they are my second least favorite archetype after Artifacts(of any sort).

How is "artifacts" an archetype?
The archdruid is strong, but probably weaker as aggro than Perfect and a weaker (and slower) mana engine than Heritage Druid. Of course it does combine some of their strengths, I guess we'll see how it plays out.

I was referring to all artifact-based archetypes in general. I hate them all.(To be fair, "elves" can have many archetype connotations as well).

Finally! My Elves get some respect in M10!
This probably means no Elvish Champion...but i can live with that if i get this guy instead!
Ness is right: this guy is nuts thanks to the departure of mana burn. I can't wait to get a playset of these!

Well, I guess green is coming back. I hope these elves run well with the Zendikar elves.

This is it.. Imperious Perfect's true rare form.
It's like Gaea's Cradle on crack!
So much fun will be had with this one, for sure!

Not too impressed really, If it costed 1 less :g: and was an Uncommon instead of a Rare then it'd be better. The best Elves are usually printed as Common and Uncommon which was represented in Lorwyn block.
This card just seems like Priest of Titania's red-headed stepchild which could see some play. This is one of those cards I would've love to get out on Turn 2 instead of Turn 3 when I should already have 3 Elves out by then instead of 2.
It just doesn't help the mana curve that Elves are so adept at...

No, Tolarian Academy was Gaea's Cradle on crack, and Gaea's Cradle was Priest of Titania on crack, and Priest of Titania was this on crack. Your off by three crack levels.
If it's any consolation, though, this is Wirewood Channeler on crack...

I'm really starting to get pretty tired and annoyed at this statement that seems to come out of nearly every card spoiled in the history of time. OF COURSE something costing less would make it better! With the rare exception of certain Pulverize (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=46509) cards, I believe every card in magic would be better if it costed less. I'm sure if you took even Vizzerdrix and costed it (significantly) less it could see play. But wizards tests these cards, and balances them, and they cost what they're supposed to cost. If they took advice from people like you, every card in magic would end up costing :0:, mana would become irrelevant, and Fireballs would do 20 to the face for free. But PLEASE! stop trying to "improve" cards that are already being pressed because by some severely misguided ideal you think you are better than the design team. This card is good/fine the way it is, if it costed less, it would be publicly criticized for being broken. (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=728) How about you talk about the card as it is now, and not how it could have been?
(This is a statement to anyone who says "cards would be better if they costed less," and to the rest of you, I'm sorry you had to see that).

So Tolarian Academy must be pretty darn stoned. Go Jodokast! :D

What the heck are you talking about? This will play perfectly with elves in standard. Lanowar elves first turn, this second. With ONLY those cards you will have 5 mana on your third turn before the land drop, plus it's a fringgin lord. One more than Preist of Titania and it becomes a lord, I'm fine with that. It fills in the gaps perfectly making a standard elf ball more consistent without always having to get a heritage druid in your opening hand. In extended elf ball is fast enough to where it might not be played but in standard it sure as hell will. Toss in Heritage druids, and Nettle Sentinels and remove Wrath of God and it's lookin to be a mighty fine evening to go for a stroll with elf ball.

Considering that there are a total of 4 elf creatures in M10, the cards not that good. Once Zendikar comes out though, hopefully it will add elves and this guy will see play..

You also have to consider that until Zendikar comes along, Lorwyn/Shadowmoor (and hence, all the elves in it) will still be "in". Tenth Edition rotates out when M10 is released. L/S rotates out when Zendikar is released. So, this guy could see quite a bit of play UNTIL Zendikar, unless it has some butt-kicking elves in it.
