Stick Altars
Artifact
All nonland, noncreature permanants become an artifact creature with a power of 0 and toughness equal to thier converted mana cost.
These creatures may not tap, attack, block, or be sacrificed.
Edit:Added nonland
Edit: Changed em to creatures. Will this work?

I've thought of this kind of mechanic before... Its crossed my mind anyway.
But you created it, I like it pretty well, good job.
But I guess its kinda bad because any burn deck can throw this in...

Ultimately it alters too many parts of the rules to allow non-creatures to have toughness. It's a fun thought, but were it to be printed it would undoubtably make them creatures.

Stick Altars
Artifact
All nonland, noncreature permanants gain a toughness equal to thier converted mana cost. These permanants are not considered creatures.
Permanants with a toughness may be dealt damage and destroyed.
And how are they supposed to be damaged? I mean :
They can't attack, can't block and can't be target of burn effects as they are neither creatures nor players...

neat idea, but i think it'd be impossible to implement without making them creatures. . .and then, it's too powerful. . .unless you say something like "can't block, can't attack, can't be sacrificed. . ."

What if it said "These permanants me be dealt damage as though they were a creature."

What if it said "These permanants me be dealt damage as though they were a creature."
It would be far easier just to make them creatures that can't attack or block.

I think this version works. It accomplishes what i wanted.
I was not wanting them to be creatures for better flavor with the name.
But it still works well with the name.
