May 1st, 2005.

The US Emerald release date.

With some already playing their Emerald games as I type this, and others awaiting store openings, while others wait to go to said stores, I can gladly say that this is one of the best days in my life EVAR. The same anticipation that coursed through my veins as I stood in line to purchase Sapphire, Colosseum, and later on Leaf Green is running through them again.

Whether it be the Battle Frontier, new storyline, new Secret Base furniture, or just the fact that now you don't have to bribe your little sibling to give you Groudon/Kyogre, I'm sure everyone who preordered Emerald is as excited as I am, possibly even more.

So it's 11:06 AM Eastern Time, many Eastern Coast Yanks have probably already bought the game. I'm buying it later on today, and I'll (possibly) be back with crappy pictures I took with my crappy webcam.

Well.....anyone else excited? =/

I'm Marginally excited, not because I'm not getting the game, but becasue I'm currently broke so I have to wait for two weeks until my next paycheck come sin before I can buy it, so in the mean time I'm trying not to get excited about it so I'm not disappointed that I don't have the game yet and that I have to wait so long to get it. I'm also avoiding all department stores for the next two weeks so I don't see the game and lament that I can't get it yet, so... yeah... :D

I'll get this eventually. It's quite useful to me as I don't have a ruby or a sapphire version.

Still, I'm not THAT big of a player so I'm not particularly excited.

>.< I can't get over the fact you ca't get kyogre first. His moveset was as cheap as it gets. Now how am I gonna kill Lance and the Champion now?

I can't believe I didn't know about the Battle Tents before playing Emerald o.O

They're pretty cool compared to the Contests they replaced, and some are actually tough. I was a total disgrace at Fallarbor's, and my Pokemon wouldn't do what they're supposed to for Verdanturf's... Aside from my Torkoal, but he couldn't survive Lombre and its Rain Dance+Rain Dish+Left Overs combo :(

Yays for Emerald! If it wasn't for the stupid FRLG/Egg trading ban it has at the beginning of the game it'd be my favourite Pokemon game to date. Egg trading between R/S is the reason I enjoyed them so much...

Wait, you can or you can't? And in which games? I never knew of these restrictions...

Ruby/Saphire you CAN Trade Eggs, from what I hear (as I haven't finished the game yet) Fire Red/Leaf Green you CANNOT trade eggs until you finish the game and when the national Dex is unlocked (or when the Ruby/Saphire machine is fixed) you CAN Trade eggs then. And in Emerald I am assuming that you can trade eggs from the get go. Yeah, I too enjoy the fact that you could trade eggs. Saphire was my first Pokemon game and I just thought "I wonder i you can trade eggs?" one day, and sure enough I could! It's great especially when you want to surrpise the person with what pokemon you are giving them.

You need to read more closely, Stonewall ;)

Like I said above, in Emerald you can't trade eggs from the get go. Which sucks. Very, very much. How you gain the ability to trade them I don't know either...

Anyone know? Is it a Beat the Elite 4+National Dex thing like in FR/LG?

Yeah, you dont even need to meet any special requirements. You just get it from Birch.

I take back about can't getting over ntog etting Kyogre. The wicked story gets over it all...Go Archie and Maxie and Steven and Me!

Oh... phew. I thought maybe you wouldn't be allowed to trade eggs at all. Which is odd because I could have sworn i've done some egg-trading with my fr.

Anyway, as long os the requirements for egg trading aren't too steep, i'm happy with it.

Well, you can, just not Pre-National Dex. Since the reason I most often trade eggs in R/S is so that I can play through the games without boosted Pokemon, though, it kinda defeats the purpose.
