Against what? It costs 5, is sorcery speed, and doesn't win you the game. At best it kills something and does a few damage. Compare with Agony Warp or Terminate and this doesn't stack up by any stretch of the imagination.

Still removal for Limited.

This is ten time better in Jund than in Grixis. There's just so many options. Great for Hissing Iguanar and Algae Gharial. You can eat the creature or sac it for Bone Splinters too in a pinch, although in those cases the card's no better than Threaten.

Great when targeting Reveillark or Sprouting Thrinax... and for that reason I could see this being a legitimate sideboard card in actual serious constructed decks.

Setting aside what the card does, this little sorcery gets my vote for best artwork of the set (and there are some good illustrations in Reborn).
