Okay if i were u i would also throw in some stumbling's and a few positions cards like dream clown, blade bunny, swarm of locusts or swarm of scarabs.

it would help protect you and mess your opponet up some and also these cards are stall cards so it can help you get the cards you need to set up the simochi combo.

Gift Card's are definitely needed, three of them with this kind of set up.
