Here is my base concept for a planes walker I have been working on:

Basically this card is a mana booster; all of its abilities are based around manna generation and manipulation (however not destruction);

Here is a list of the possible abilities (the *** represents abliltes I am leaning towards using)

Positive abilities
-Untap X land cards (+x) (‘x’ should be set value, eg 2 or 3) ***
-Add X mana to your mana pool (Maximum = ?)

Negative abilities
-Search Deck for X number of specific mana yielding cards, put them into your hand/ put them into play (-2x)
-Add place 1 mana token into play it has x counters on it, each time it is tapped for any type of man you can produce remove 1 counter (-x) ***

Super move
-Place 3 land tokens into play, all of them must be 1 colour
-Place 3 land tokens into play; you can tap each of them individual for any mana you could already produce. ***
-Search through your deck and remove all cards that could yield mana. Shuffle your library and shuffle all the removed land cards into a separate pile. If you have no land cards in your hand you may take the top card of your manna pile and out it into play during your upkeep. ***

Tell me what you think. What you like, what you hate. Also if you have any ideas for any other abilities let me know!

Get them brain juices flowing...

This is the planeswalker forum is it not? Please post a planeswalker and save this kind of stuff for the "other" forum.

Welcome to the forums!
Guyarney is right: if you want a DIY center, the place is the Other section. Not trying to be rude, but frankly, we're only going to help you "sculpt" a PW (or any other card) so much...
Anywhoo, both of your + abilities have been done ad vomitus.. why not something more novel like "add mana to your mana pool equal to the mana in your mana pool (this includes color)" or "Tap target land and add one mana of any color that mana could produce to your pool?"
You're Super-moves all seem like - (minus) abilities to me. Remember, the "Super-Move" is supposed to be big, swingy, and ZOMGifying. Maybe something to do with all that mana your PW has helped you produce?
If you really want to make this guy have "cares about mana" abilities, why not make the Super-Move ablity something like "-4: put an X/X Elemental into play, with power and toughness equal to the mana in your mana pool"?

o.k how about this line up...

The Lotus Warrior

:5:

+3: Put 1 land token into play it has 3 counters on it, each time it is tapped for any type of mana you could already produce remove 1 counter.

-9: Put a X/X Spirit Token into play, with X equal to the number of land cards you own in play.

-12: Put 3 land tokens into play; you can tap each of them individually for any mana you could already produce.

Loyalty: 3

So the technique would be manna acceleration and a creature that will grow in strength as you use her, and as you progress with mana.

Lemmie try it out:

+1 - Search your deck for a land and put that land into play

-3 add 3 mana of any one color to your mana pool

-8 For the rest of the game: Any time you add man to your mana pool, you may add another 1 mana of any color to your mana pool. Your mana pool never empties.

Loyalty 5

Yes 5 color is a big cost, but look at the abilities:
+1 land iinto play UNTAPPED - when was thee last time you saw that?
-3 has the ability to be triggered for two turns- so turn 5 you tutor on turn six you could have 10 mana availible, or play a card in 5cc without tapping anything
-8 I think this is a big ability, worded to effective double your mana producers (but Dark Ritual and others that add multiple mana still net 1 additional mana) with no empting mana pool. 5cc would love this...

I actually really like the permanent Heartbeat of Spring + Upwelling final ability. I may steal that for use on a future planeswalker, cool concept.

Otherwise, I think that the whole 5-color planeswalker is a kinda weird deal, but possible. And I still think the first abil is underpowered.
