So Who Has Emerald Pre-Ordered And Has a Stash of Money Reserved Just For It?

That's right, me. ^^

I got Emerald pre-ordered a week or so ago and got the pre-ordering goodies that come with it. In the US you get this nifty tin with Rayquaza on the front, a special ID card that has a code which you can use to gain access to the special VIP site, and a Frontier Pass booklet thingy. I used the tin to store my GBA games, and I checked out the special site and got an exclusive Pokemon Emerald wallpaper.

Currently I have $18 or so, and my parents owe me $13. A girl owes me $1. That comes out to $32, and I need $3 more before May 1st which is when Emerald hits the stores. I am very excited about getting the game, and what makes this more exciting is that my birthday comes 8 days after Emerald's release! Ironically, emerald just happens to be my birthstone. -^^-

The things I'm most hyped about has to be the new bells and whistles. Finally, I can get a Groudon WITHOUT having to steal my sis's Ruby version and her Groudon! The Battle Frontier looks awesome as well, but frankly I'm not TOO worked up about that one.

Soooooooo....who else has an Emerald pre-order or is planning to buy it the day it comes out?

Well if I don't import I will be pre-ordering my copy of emerald, hopefully october isn't the real date, it says TBC on 1 page and October on another :S still I plan to preorder it at some point....

Although, I really really do need that game for its uber breeding capabilities...

Well, I've asked around at local chains (EBGames, Toys R Us, and that's pretty much it, because I doubt department stores like Wal Mart or Zellers have preorder bonuses) and no chain in Canada has any pre order bonus, it's only in the states (so as if nitnendo Ignoring Canadians when it comes to Pokemon ticket giveaways wasn't bad enough, now we don't even get pre order bonuses unless we're in the states. Lousy Yankeees. :D ) so yeah, I'm not pre ordering anything this time. If you don't get any free bonuses with it, there's no point in pre ordering. If it's not stocked in stores the day it comes out, I'll just wait until the next week and get it then. Pokemon Center has a neat preorder bonus though

But I've e-mailed them a couple of times asking how much it would be because I don't have a credit card, and am in Canada (so I need to know how much they would charge me for it becuase of the difference in currency) but they won't e-mail back, so I just won't be getting ANY pre order stuff.

There's no way I'll wait any longer then I have to to get Emerald. I'm getting a relative from the States to send it to me (I suppose I'll still have to pay him back, though since I won't see him for at least six months maybe he'll forget about it by then. -_^) I can live without the pre-order bonuses.

Ditto to that. It's a big shame, too. The FR/LG pre-order deal Canada got was even better than the US deal *Hugs her backpack thingy*

I did put a pre-order down on Emerald at EBGames, though, just incase something did pop up. It doesn't make much difference to me because I was planning on getting the game the day it came out anyways.

I pre-ordered and didn't get the battle tin. Was it supposed come with the game or was it supposed to be given to me with the pre-order? Either way, I can't wait till May 1st. I heard some good rumors about Emerald that I'm pretty sure are true.

You're supposed to get it when you pre-order. o_o;;

I had to go back and complain to Circuit City, and they gave me the last tin they had. ^^

The tin is just that... a tin. ^^ You don't need anything but Emerald and a GBA/GBASP/DS to be able to get into the Battle Frontier.

Okay, work this out.... Primas official Strategy guide, UK release, 1st june... Pokémon Emerald release TBC October! Im pre-ordering now purely because im assuming its a mistake on games behalf....

The October date was never confirmed by NOE. There has been no official date mentioned for a UK release for Emerald and there wont be until their next announcement after E3.

Prima's guide may well have an estimated release date of 1st June, As I find it HIGHLY unlikely the game will actually be released on that date. Anything set as a 1st of a month date is generally expected to be an estimate - 'cause it confirms it to a month/time.

Summer release for Emerald would be very nice, but no official word will be given until after E3....

Guess who's painting their nails emerald green to commemorate the event. =D That's right, me.

In fact.....I'll search high and low for a Rayquaza decal/T-shirt. Anything Rayquaza, I'll HAVE to get my hands on.

If not...there's always homemade stuffs. =)
