powerful card. . .almost an immediate add in all ld decks. . .this is about the same as "destroy target land" in a dedicated ld deck, since the opponent will always be playing lands to try to catch up. . .i'd cost this at :3::r::r:. . .at three, it easily falls on the curve for 2nd or 3rd turn: ld, end of opp's next turn: ld, your next turn: ld. . .costed at 5 bit higher, you have to play this instead of playing your beast, which gives your opponent a little breathing room. . .that also justifies the extra ability to hose cards that allow you to play multiple lands in a turn. . .

If i destroy a land on my turn, then destroy one on the next one, i spent mana on 2 turns...
Pillage If i let my opponent go, destroy a land on his turn and then destroy one on my next turn, i do not gain mana, so i can't understand why this should cost more (it is costed on the line of Molten Rain / which do something more than Stone Rain ...).
The ability to destroy more than one land, should the opponent play land acceleration is balanced by :r: instead of :1: and because you can't use it as LD if your opponent plays no land on a turn (i.e. it is worse than Stone Rain and its ilk in the late game...).

Nice idea, and well costed.

Make's an opponent's New Frontiers seem futile... and Terravore outstanding.
I once made a Terravore + Epicenter Deck. It beat Carlos Ramao's Psychatog deck, but I made it after champs with cards that existed in that block.
Shame I don't have the money for type 2, LoL.
Good card, should be :2::r::r: though. Its situational, but if you go first (or 2nd with a mox). this card goes 3 for 1 against Kodama's reach.
play a land, reach, another land down.
This
Kills 2 lands and makes reach useless save for spirit craft trigger and land drop next turn, which helps but its really just an insult since you'll prolly LD on your next turn anyway.
Too powerful.

I think it's fine as it...
Perhaps you could cost this at 3R, only because the instant nature of the card, while in this instance (heh pun) balanced, does give the deck playing it more options on the opponents turn, which would be a good case for a higher CMC, but less color intensity...
but w/e

So does countermagic too...
This card goes 3 for 1 against Kodama's reach.
Which is two for one by itself... plus splice or spiritcraft if needed
This card has advantages over Stone Rain but it has a drawback too... Let's say that you put your opponent to 2 lands, have no cards in hand and draw LD... you put him to 1 land and can play your threat safely next turn... Let's say now that you draw this instead... you leave mana open, he does not play a land... you do nothing and can wait for another turn to play your threat or play it now and hope...
This is conditional LD, this is the drawback...

i think it was in general a wisely costed card tho it seems to me that the card has been balanced (partialy so, tho adequately) for only one of its virtues over stone rain, its potential in its ability to destroy multiple reasources at once, giving you instant speed card advantage while still acting as a highly efficent synergistic resource depletion.
this seems alittle too powerful as is you may want to change the wording to "put into play", or up the cost.
