Official Pokeschool Ressurection Drive Competition

Damn it's deader than the Dodo round here recently. So, to try and get people actually using this board again, here's a competition for you.

The most active member between now and by the 17th of May (E3 Day, seems as good as any), will win a fantabulous prize.

To confirm your activity, you need to post here with your current Post-count and that enters you into the competition.

Now, onto the prize.

Basically, this will be what you want it to be. You guys pick the prize and I'll try and get you what you want. You can nominate as a prize some TCG Cards, a Sprite, a Pokecharms Official Souvenier or even a polaroid of Nem in a frilly dress. The most popular nominations will be looked over by myself and Nem and we'll pick the one we/I can match the best.

Silly ideas for the prizes ARE encouraged, afterall, this is supposed to be for a bit of fun as well as trying to breathe some life and activity back into this place. Only Pokeschool Members are eligible, so if you've wandered over here from another part of TCG-Player, tough. :-p. Spam will not be tolerated of course, anyone seeing spamming for this cause will be punished (probably more severely than usual).

Now, since the Polls and Games forum doesn't count posts, I'm afraid that although you may be quite active there, it wont count towards this competition.

So, fire away your post counts and ideas for prizes. We might just get some life out of this old board yet...

Post count is a no. Contributions is a yes. Maybe a point scaling thing for individual activities, and such? For example, RPing or Fic writing should be more valuable than saying So-and-so sucks! in music.

Post Count = Something I can compare in seconds. I can't be arsed sitting down and setting up some tier system and checking EVERY post you guys make. :-p. Not that you shouldn't be posting quality stuff, SPAM = a kick in the teeth remember. But I need something I can check easily.

It's all in the context of the topic so it's not really spamming. I agree with your second statement, though. Why not have votes at the end of the time period? That's easy enough to count. Just gotta say that you can't vote for yourself (and voters have to be active posters).

Yes, and I was a moderator here, and always believed this place was far too broad on the "deffinition" of spam. Who cares if people post alot? It isn't like rising postcounts mean the end of the world is nearer.

SPAM = Stupid. Pointless. Annoying. Messages. So long as a post doesn't fall under that, it's fine with me. Although in this context, if it's blindingly obvious you were just posting to boost your post count, you'd get a very severe kick in the teeth.

At college we had a prize called the DBMA - Derrick Boyd Memorial Award. It was a toilet seat - engraved with the winners' names, of course. It was awarded on a vaguely regular basis to the student who had most disgraced themselves in public as a result of over-consumption of alcohol. Although after a certain fresher got so profoundly drunk he had to be taken to hospital, and managed in the process to throw up on the Rector's shoes, people kinda lost interest in it.

ChemSoc also had an annual Creme Egg eating competition, but for some reason you had to be in the second year or higher to compete (I don't remember why). The person who won in my first year ate 18 Creme Eggs in under 5 minutes.
