My GF wants a deck, can anyone help me out here?

Hey everyone,
Has anyone ever built a deck using the Gods (I've never even tried)...specifically Obelisk and Slifer?...My GF is new to the game and needs a simple deck, but she wants Obelisk and Slifer in it (Why I don't know, and I didn't ask)...I know I need Kaiser Sea Horse and Infinite Cards for sure, but beyond that I'm drawing a blank because she also like Fairies, and Dragons....Can anyone throw me some ideas PLEASE???

Well really each god card has a unique ability that really acquire their own deck in order to perform efficiently. It would be too hard to build a decent deck that includes all of them. I would recommend focusing on one of the god cards, however, it may be possible to place obelisk and winged dragon of ra in one deck. Slifer on the other hand needs an entire deck devoted to him for him to be useful.

Technically, none of the original gods have effects, so including them is completely pointless. You should have her pick a theme or deck type, then ask us about her new choice.

Obelisk is the best god, if I'm not mistaken. You could also try using the Wicked gods.

Actually all of the Gods have effects, they were just never listed on the cards, thus making them unusable in the game...The Japanese do have effects and they have been translated. In this game I personnally find that no card is pointless, and if she wants to learn the game using a deck that has 1 or 2 Gods in it, I see no harm in that.

If I had to choose 1, I personaly would pick Slifer combined with Infinite Cards, but Obelisk does pack a punch on the ATK front and after effect.

you might wanna try not triple posting bud or you will get warned ? i say a muka muka deck with Slifer teched in ... I could give you a decklist for a sacred beast deck but not god deck

I didn't realize replying to posts was a bad thing, i'll try to refrain...I've never been able to get a sacred beast deck to work all that well, so please do send me the deck list for them. Thank you.

It depends fiends are dead expect for Dark Gaia and he only used in there for the 4000 atk points

Uria sucks genrally i could never think of that build

And then there Hamon most playable becuase of CB so you chose

Build a fun Crystal Beast deck with some Hamons. That's probably your best bet. They're not gonna win any tournaments for her but it'll let her learn the game.

That's not a bad idea there...She seems to like some of the Crystal Beasts, and she likes Rainbow Dragon...I mite just have to try that...Any cards from the Crystal Beasts I should avoid putting in there?...Thnx.

they might win a local if you build right but i havn't made a neew build in forever i will think of one for you though

might one hit the crystal guide it somewhere on the forum i would run max 2 Hamon in a hamon deck though seeing as it can be a dead draw and you crystal tree becuase they are contunouis spell . Hamon and crystal are normally not used though becuase most people want to OTK ambundance

A Crystal Beast deck mite not be possible, I'm missing some of the key cards I think.

The hardest card to get for the crystal beasts is rare value and probably pegasus. Pegasus came out in a tin so he should be a little easier to obtain. As far as the other crystal beasts go and their support cards, most of them can be obtained from the jesse anderson duelist pack. The only card i would worry about getting is rare value which you can get from force of the breaker.
