Hey i've been gon a while so i just wanted to ask something, i bet someones already posted this but why is it that if u fight a lvl 15 wild pokemon and get then exp, then fight a lvl 15 pokemon in a trainer battle, how come the wild pokemon gives less exp than if you fought a trainer raised pokemon?

I don't know the real answer, but in an episode (I think it was the one where they fought that spoiled brat at Pokemon Tech), it was mentioned that trained pokemon are "stronger" than wild ones. Actually, a boy was fighting Misty and his teacher said something to the effect that her pokemon were OF COURSE going to be stronger (although maybe not in level) because she was from a gym.

thanks but, is it that way just because or is there some significant reason why they are like that?

Okay, yes, Trained pokemon are stronger than Wild Pokemon. And you get more exp in Trainer battles because (A) It's a trainer's pokemon (and the game is just programmed that way) and (B) because the trainer has trained it's pokemon (in theory) so it's going to give more EXP because it has EVs in certain areas (such as AT and Def or whatever) whereas Wild pokemon do no t have any EVs which is why trainer's pokemon give more exp than a wild pokemon.

Also theres the fact that the EXP wild pokemon give is slightly random.

I don't think it is, Pikachu. I've fought SEVERAL of the same enemies (to figure out whether or not Exp Share gives more Exp, which it does not) and discovered that a wild Pokemon at a certain level always gives teh same amount of exp. The onyl time this is different is when you are holding either a Lucky Egg, Exp Share or nothing.
Basically, a Lucky egg gives 50% more exp than normal
Exp Share takes half of the normally gained Exp from the foe and (if that is your only pokemon fighting) gives the half of the Exp it took away back to the fighting pokemon. But in fights where the foe gives an uneven amount of exp, the game rounds the number of Exp points down, which is what gives teh illusion of randomized exp (and why sometimes a pokemon with Exp share sometimes gets 1 Exp point less than if the pokemon had not been holding the item at all), when it is not.
And ofcourse, holding neither gives you normal Exp.

Every Pokemon gives out a set amount of Exp determined by it's level and whether it's trained or not. Simple as that. Magikrap gives out krap exp whatever the level and whether it's trained or not, but Pokemon like Dewgong for example will give out a fair deal of EXP when defeated at a high level and is a trainer's Pokemon.
As to WHY Trained Pokemon give out exp, i'd just go with Stonewall's theory there. The simple fact, however, is that trained Pokemon simply do just give out more exp.
You're also more likely to find trained Pokemon at a higher level. Though the highest level you'll ever battle in the game and gain exp from is about 60/70 and those are from both wild and trained Pokemon.
