Which is your favorite Star Wars movie(s) and why?
Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999)
Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002)
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Episode IV: A New Hope (1977)
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983)
Episode I as it had the appearence of Darth Maul, and was the beginning of the end.
Episode III the movie that will connect the whole saga, the episode where Anakin becomes Darth Vader and the Jedi are all killed save for a select few.
So....?

Five. The closest it ever came to being a good movie, and not just a very, very good spectacle.

Anyone who doesn't say Episode V is just plain wrong. It's been scientifically proven to be so.

Episode III is horrible compared to the others. Theres so much bad acting that it prevented me from enjoying the movie. I would expect much more from Portman and Jackson.
One question for everyone: When you watched the movie, did people clap and shout at the screen when Yoda sliced those two Clone Troppers as they were about to kill him? Did that annoy you?

ha Episode III was the best out of all the them (tied with Empire). Nobody cares about you negative view on the movie and if people cheered when Yoda beheaded the troopers then so what, nobody cares if it annoyed YOU. Dont post negative crap about the movies here.:D

To be fair, Ewan McGregor was very good. And also, there's only so much you can do as an actor with Lucas writing and directing for you. Even wonder why Empire is considered the best Star Wars? Because Lucas had help writing it and didn't direct it.

Not only did they clap, laugh, and chant then, but they also did the same thing when he raised his hand and the two guards around him kinda collasped! And so did I!

I went to the movie hoping it didn't suck as badly as Episode I and II. It did. The best part was the Batman preview because one of the guys is from Swing Kids, and some people from my World History class started shouting SWING HEIL! at the top of their lungs. Me and my friends didn't even know that they were in the theater, and we were the only ones laughing.

Mostly the horrible acting. The plot isn't nearly as good as the old movies, either. At the end of the movie, I just really didn't care what happened, just as long as it ended. I felt the same way about Resident Evil: Apocalype. Everyone told me that I had to go see it because it was so awesome, and I just turned it off because I felt so detached from the characters. Episode III was the same way (alond with I and II), except with really bad acting and cheesy lines.

So...why are episodes IV-VI better? In case you didn't notice, the only people who could act in those ones were Harrison Ford and Sir Alec Guiness. Try watching A New Hope again...you'll realize just how bad Mark Hamill is as an actor.

If you are really into Star Wars and been a long time fan, you'll love it. If you aren't then you'd be confused and regret it and hope you never paid for the ticket.

first the acting was good just as usual the lines were cheesy and the plot didnt suck at all. The plot for III is what frames the story of your beloved Episodes IV-VI so remember that my whiney negative friend.

The acting was OK, but not comparable to the greatness of the plot/lightsaber action.

after seeing 2 and 3( i dont know why i never saw 2) i like 3 the best. It is still hard to believe that someone as good as anakin could go to the dark side. I was so pissed when he saved the chancelor. The best part of the movie was the light saber battles between obi won and anakin, and obi won, anakin, and that one dude that i forgot about(he died in the begining of the movie)

i agree wombat episode III was the bes one although is ill like emprie strikes back and return of the jedi. revenge of the sith gave birth to the greatest 2 vllains ever General Grievous and the dark sith lord Dark Vader (if you think about it he was technically born here and not IV)
edit: oha nd redyes you mean count dooku AKA darth tyrannus. but i liked the battle between obi wan and general grievous everyone laughed in the cinema when grievous went "You fool! have been trained in your jedi arts for some time now!" and all 4 of his arms grabbed his collection of lightsabres i think he has 16 overall aparently. (see clone wars and comics)

yeah i saw the clone wars. i have series one on DVD and am waiting for series 2. it explains fully the parts tha epsode III forgot like how courascant was invaded in the first place. who general grievous was and how anakin became a jedi knight. it also explained why anakin and obi wan were away from courascant in the outer rim worlds. i find it funny how general grievous is all powerful in clone wars and then a coward in episode III. vgcats made a comic to go along witn it :D

Episodes IV, V and VI were all very good I must hand it to George Lucus for those exelent. but
Episode I had a very bad story line although the action scene with the light sabers was very good. By the way Darth Mal was the stunts cowardinator not an actor.
Episode II was a little better although once again a very bad story line a spot filler exept for the part were they actually made count Dooku a real carracter and being Qui Gon's master was a nice twist. And once again great action scene.
Episode III was by far the best of the 3 movie's I thought he had finally put together a good story line. and it truelly was. with action scenes and loss from the beggining.(Dooku's death) I thought they raelly explained a lot like having R2 and 3PO's memory cleared. It was a very good movie in general
