I originally posted this to our Mod forum, but I didn't really get any replies... Figured I'd bring it public...

If any of you have been visiting the main page of Pokeschool recently, you may have noticed the severe lack of Pokemon news and other contributions. In fact, if you would look at the main page at this moment, nine out of the most recent twelve things there are my articles. I'm not saying this to make myself look good. I'm just saying this to prove that the other stuff really needs to be there too.

I'm not going to say Magmar was perfect, but he always had something for the updates. Even if they were videogame sales half the time, it was at least something.

I know I'm not Chedy and I don't really have much authority, but please, make an effort to find Pokemon news and contribute material. You can write an article on anything. You can write an episode guide. You can get information about something new that's going to be released. You can write about a tournament series or how you did in a tournament. Whatever you can do, please do it.

Please get other people involved in contributing also. It doesn't only have to be Pokeschool staff. I would really appreciate seeing some update material at Submit@pokeschool.com once in a while.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

Hmmm,
This is my first day of posting at pokeschool.com, even though ive been regularly checking it out for nearly 2 years. An overdue thanks to you baboon, for the hard work youve done contributing to this site, i've always appreciated it. I agree with your comments, and will offer to keep my eyes out for news, because i dont want to see this site disappear. Just want to add another voice of support to everyone out there, to work to make this site the best one!

Well, there's not a whole lot of Pokemon news right now anyway Baboon. There's unlikely to be anything too big for a wee while. Depends what's in the next Coro Coro really.

Heh, yeah, thinking back to the days when there were 3 news updates per day, and I'd wonder what happened if they happened to be late once. Now... *sigh*

For the record, if you're REALLY stuck for anyone submitting news, even when it comes. You can take anything I have on Pokecharms and put it through the system, either crediting me or whomever. Don't really mind, but It's certainly an option if no-one else is submitting news even when it's there.

There doesn't have to be "news". I know for a fact there's a number of people out there who could write even just one article. You don't have to be a professional player who has been to fifty tournaments over the past six years. I've only been to three. -_- Seriously though, it's fun writing stuff. It doesn't require experience. Just try to contribute anything. We've been getting nearly 2,000 hits a day, from what the Top 100 sites thingy is showing, so there's definitely an audience.

I'm sure Pokeschool could become a really great site... we just need more material.

That's what we were saying 3 years ago.

Well I wrote a few card articles (which I hope no one reads) about a year ago, totally mimicking Baboon's style. I stopped though because I wasn't too interested in it, plus they weren't turning out too good. Also, one of the links didn't work, and probably still doesn't.

What was my point? Oh yeah... it's not that hard to contribute.

"That's what we were saying 3 years ago."
Yeah, and ever since 3 years ago, how much has been contributed besides my articles...? You have to realize my articles are not to be taken for granted. Instead, it's 430 single contributions. Nobody's forcing me or paying me to continue writing.
The site has potential. Not many people do stuff for it though. =\

Sure. Because no one's forcing or paying them ^_^

How is that a reason? Why should I even bother to spend so many hours every single week writing for a site when other people won't do anything unless they get paid/bribed? That's pathetic.

A good point, Baboon. As far as I can tell, the last person, other than you, who submitted an article was me, and that was back in October. I might just write a new article soon, if I can find the time and figure out what I want to write about.

*waves* I had an episode guide up a month or two ago. But stopped doing them, so meh. ^^
