21 Forest
1 Pendelhaven

3 Heartmender
4 Imperious Perfect
4 Kitchen Finks
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Safehold Elite
4 Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers
4 Wilt-Leaf Liege
4 Wren's Run Vanquisher

3 Overrun
4 Shield of the Oversoul

Sideboard:
3 Cloudthresher
3 Krosan Grip
3 Oversoul of Dusk
3 Squall Line
3 Wheel of Sun and Moon
---------------------------------------------------------------

Please keep in mind he made this as a budget deck. Obviously Garruk is the choice for replacing Overrun, but your opponent has 1 turn to kill Garruk before he goes off. Heres what needs to be replaced :

4x Llanowar Elves
3x Overrun

7 Maindeck cards, not bad

SB : 3x Krosan Grip, 3x Squall Line. A mere 13 cards altogether. I have some ideas, but I'd like some feedback on what other people think. Please respond with a budget answer (if applicable) then a pricier option, also if there are cards you would add/remove from the deck to help it in block. (Although primarily Block is watered down Standard Faerie decks it would appear).

Llanowar Elves : Devoted Druid Obviously its not as good, but thanks to Heartmender it could be there turn after turn with 2 mana instead of 1 for the extra mana, and there are no distinct 1 drops. Maybe Heritage druid but the deck is lighter on elves. Most cases heritage cant help til turn 3 with this deck.

Overrun : Still looking at this one, outside the obvious Garruk Wildspeaker

Krosan Grip : Well you will lose Split Second, but Gleeful Sabotage lets you do it 1 cheaper and conspire.

Squall Line : Outside of overrun this is the hardest card to replace, I suppose alot of people will say Firespout, but again this is not a Instant. Still if you have the mana to activate Garruk then firespout leaving your creatures alive and theres dead, it could be a game winner, then you really wouldnt need trample.

Also, if you have the money -1 Pendelhaven, -2 Forest, +3 Mutavaults?

Also thanks to Wooded Bastion mono-white cards could easily be used, so maybe some O-ring for control, theres multiple options, any ideas?

removal and booster...

I've been struggling to try and put my own flavor on this deck as well. I keep finding that Muta doesn't fit with the :gw::gw::gw: spot on the Cavaliers. I'm curious as to how a Painter's Servant would work (declaring white) in the deck -- An indestructible 5/5 Wren's (6/6 with the Liege) sounds tasty.

Oh yeah. Works with the Perfect as well.

I think Tower Above would work great, but wouldnt allow you to finish in the time you would like. I also think O-Ring needs to be in this deck somewhere, its just too powerful a card not to be atm. Garruk really appears to be the only way unfortunatly.

Here's where I am so far:

4x Wren's Run Vanquisher
4x Safehold Elite
3x Devoted Druid

4x Imperious Perfect
4x Kitchen Finks
3x Heartmender
4x Wilt-Leaf Liege

4x Oblivion Ring
4x Shield of the Oversoul
4x Tower Above

4x Mosswort Bridge
4x Wooded Bastion
4x Plains
3x Windbrisk Heights
7x Forest

I really like Mercy Killing, and I may sub it for Tower Above. I'm not sure people see it coming when popping creatures with removal, but when I get it all put together, I'll post a writeup.

In re: Mercy Killing it is especially nice to sack say a Vanquisher after damage is on the stack, if the Vanquisher is 4/4 or 5/5 you get back 4-5 Green AND White tokens. Who are 2/2 with the Perfect, and 4/4 with the Liege.

I'd definately say it has a spot in the sideboard to deal with Bitterblossom. Thoughts on Firespout and Raking Canopy in the sideboard anyone?

I think it is MD t1 potential. Looks great with a Liege out.

this is my Mono White version of the deck, with a bit less aggro and a fair bit more creature control. So far it is doing super well, but has some troubles with faeries. I think faeries are on a downtrend, so I'm not crazy worried about it. Shield of the Oversoul is pretty disgusting.

obviously you play overrunn over garruk in this deck you want a card that says you win this turn not you win next turn if nothing scary happens.

UM guys, I hate to point this out but this is the LORWYN BLOCK FORUM. So alot of the cards in the last 2 decks are totally pointless here.

LBC finisher in place to Overrun....Mirrorweave?

On the precept that prefect tokens + mirrored giltleafs will allow lethal to swing past.

Ive considered even Mirrorweaving Wren's Run Vanquisher, if you do block, everything you own dies, if you dont, and you have say 5 or so creatures the game should be over..... I really think this is a solid play.

I had put together RononX's take on a G/W Elf deck for some block testing.

3 Elvish Hexhunter
3 Garruk Wildspeaker
3 Oversoul of Dusk
4 Safehold Elite
4 Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers
4 Wilt-Leaf Liege
4 Wren's Run Vanquisher

3 Last Breath
4 Oblivion Ring
4 Shield of the Oversoul

10 Forest
8 Plains
2 Windbrisk Heights
4 Wooded Bastion

I subbed Mossport Bridge in place of the Windbrisk Hieghts as my Heights were in a Kithkin deck.

Then I had a local Standard tournament to play in. (Bear with me about the non-block comments for a moment.) I switched Garruk for Overrun. Without going into too much detail about a Standard event, I will say that Hideway into Overrun is SICK. This deck meets the "10 power" with ease.

Incidentally, my only loss in that Standard event came against my friend, who was using my MirrorWeave Merfolk deck. Argh!

So, back to block. I agree with others who have suggested Mirrorweave as an Overrun type of card. It doesn't always have the power of Overrun, but it does have more surprise effect than Garruk. I can't help but think Hideaway into Mirrorweave is as SICK as Hideaway into Overrun. The lack of trample might be critical when facing a horde of Kithkin or tokens. Remember, 'Weave does your opponents creatures too, so even if you make a bunch of huge creatures, your opponent will have some huge ones too.

Notice the lack of main deck Finks. I agree with that choice, as there are better aggressive choices for three mana (Cavaliers, Shield, Ob Ring). Finks is obviously the correct choice in a more controlling versions, such as the one Les.Classic posted. I just feel a Garruk/Overrun/Mirrorweave style of deck is more about attacking than defending, and that's not what Finks is best suited for. Certainly a SB option, however.

IMO, all the versions with 2 colors should probably be playing Safewright Quest. The interesting thing about it is that you can easily splash black with it because it can grab Murmuring Bosk and there are plenty of elves for Gilt-Leaf Palace.

What black can give you: Nameless, Thoughtseize, Eyeblight's Ending, Shriekmaw, and...Doran. Doran Synergizes very well with all the decks being posted here. How about something like:

3 Rhys, the Redeemed
4 Elvish Hexhunter

4 Wren's Run Vanquisher
4 Gaddock Teeg

4 Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers
3 Doran

4 Wilt-Leaf Liege

2 Shriekmaw

4 Shield of the Oversoul
3 Eyeblight's Ending
3 Safewright Quest

3 Wooded Bastion
4 Gilt-Leaf Palace
4 Murmuring Bosk
3 Plains
6 Forest
2 Mutavault

Maybe Shield of the Oversoul belongs in here - it certainly helps against Kithkin. However, even against Kithkin, there are ways to take out the creature with the Shield on it (Oblivion Ring). Other decks can just bounce the creature...Still, it seems like a chance the deck is willing to take because if they don't kill the creature, the game will be over quickly.

I think Gaddock Teeg is awesome. He synergizes with the deck while stopping Spectral Procession, Mirrorweave, Cryptic Command, Broken Ambitions, Austere Command, Makeshift Mannequin, etc.
