Pokémon Platinum Announcement 15/5

This coming thursday Coro-coro will be out in Japan, stated to have info on the 3rd game to accompany Diamond and Pearl. Confirmed to be Pokémon Platinum

"Leaked" information regarding the game states...

- Underground will be Wifi Enabled
- Volkner no longer gym leader of Sunnyshore city
- New addition of Battle island, in theory this will be like Battle frontier
- New forms of Shaymin, Giratina and Reggigigas

All this information may in fact be untrue however we have to wait for thursday before we can be 100% sure.



Hmmm, personally i'm not a huge fan of the name or the idea of giratina being on the box, we have too many legendaries as it is, let alone having more forms of them than you can wave a stick at.
Provided battle island is done better than frontier then i'll be happy, not that I didn't love battle frontier on emerald, but it was just so haxy I would just end up leaving it for months on end, also I didnt like the battle palace where your attacks were dependant on natures and stats, yes in theory a fun idea, but when your opponents are far less sporadic as your pokemon unless you hack them its just a bit tedious.

Perhaps they could put some of those "nintendo event only" legendary pokemon in the game. I'm sick of the best pokemon always being IMPOSSIBLE to get. I want Darkrai.

Theres a darkrai download event at the end of the month in america...
Otherwise, offer me something ridiculously good and when i start my next japanese game i'll glitch you one, i have a glitched copy of diamond where you can do the surf on a door in the elite 4 and get both darkrai and shaymin.

I'd much rather however if so much of the plot didnt revolve around legendaries these days. We have too many.

You got a point. We had to many legendaries in diamond and pearl. We should only have 4 legendaries in the game, and 1 event pokemon to get in the game.

u can also get darkrai through the movie and some websites with the codes for the mystery gift

it would be nice if they would bring in another region like kanto or something. the battle frontier would be great. after the elite four i had nothing to look forword to besides leveling up my teams. to many legendary pokemon. they should have saved most of the legendary pokemon for another time instead of letting people make teams way over powerd with nothing but legends.

I can't read japanese apart from a few symbols but I still played through diamond without really needing to, the games are pretty simple to get through just pressing A.

US release will be at least 6 months. DP came out sept 2006 in japan and april 2007 in US, so I'd expect something similar.

I played it in japanese, its pretty straight forward. Apart from the fact i can understand some japanese.

i got hold of a version of pearl in japanese
and actually did that with turtwig(I wanted piplup)

Its as simple as going into summary and checking the moves, the attack powers etc will be the same wether its in japanese or not, makes the game slightly more different but all you need is an online pokédex, and I didn't even have that till a couple weeks into my game as I was in japan on a school trip with no internet access.

hey dont get me wrong i was able to do most of it ok (i got stuck when the lakes got involve properly) i was just making the point that its really funny when you do something so simple so wrong in a catastrophic way lol.
i was looking for piplup but im happy i got twiggy instead, except when i figured out that i had just refused to learn earthquake
