Gempocketed Nook

Gempocketed Nook
Land
Whenever you play a land, Gempocketed Nook gains ":t:: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool." until end of turn.
Why not say ":t:: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. Play this ability only if you played land this turn."?

neet card
could be rare if it were whenever a land comes into play, that way it can tap for mana during opponent's turn.

I dunno, I think it's because that's how I conceived the card, didn't look at any other options.

I don't wanna, because I don't want land search to work with this.

Ask someone else, I didn't take it.

It's balanced, but that might be it's problem. If you run out of lands, it shuts off.

This is a great card. Never has there been such a novel early colored mana screw fix.
Putting ":t:: Add :1: to your mana pool." wouldn't hurt.
Or how about:
Gempocketed Nook
Land
:t:: Add :1: to your mana pool. If you played a land this turn, you may add one mana of any color to your mana pool instead.

It's powerful as it is. Green would play it.

WotC has a policy not to print cards that don't produce mana, with the very rare exception.
This card doesn't fit that profile, imo.

So fantasy very rare cards can only be posted very rarely?

lol, of course not. I just hope people keep that in mind in case I ever make a "very" rare card. ;)

Look, it produces mana whether you like it or not. There is no "In My Opinion" in this case, because it's not a case where there is an opinion. It either has the ability to produce mana or not. And if you look clearly enough, you'll see that it does, in fact, have a means of producing mana.
What you are clearly trying to say is that "It does not consistently provide me mana at the times I need it."
Which doesn't voliate the "Lands must produce Mana" rule at all.
I'm sorry, I just like to rant.
~Ah haha~
Btw, it doesn't help Green that much more then it helps the other colors, because it's not when lands come into play.
