The biggest thing about team dueling is that (currently) team members share lifepoints and that total is ONLY 8000. This just screams "double burn" to me.

For example, most burn spells can deal an average of 800 points of damage easily. With both players playing burn that comes out to 800 dmg x 6 cards for player A and 800 x 6 for player b - Total average = 9600 damage. so with burn, your opponents get only one or two turn to prepare, and no opportuniy to attack.

What does everyone else think of this strategy? This deck (run in pairs) should be quite disgusting in it's winning speed.

Monsters - 5
3 Bubbleman
2 Lava Golem

Spells - 25
1 Chain Strike
3 Card of Sanctity
3 Dark Room of Nightmare
3 Soul of Fire
3 Meteor of Destruction
3 Tremendous Fire
3 Poison of the Old Man
3 Oozaki
3 Restructer Revolution

Traps - 10
3 Secret Barrel
1 Ceasefire
3 Ojama Trio
3 Just Desserts

So will we need to be running either burn or heavy anti-burn in team dueling to be competitive?

I say this will be the only thing having a chance against Final Countdown. I personally think that the lifepoints while playing double duels should be somewhere between 10.000-16.000.

Are you sure the damage is dealt twice? I think it only deals to one player, and only dealt one time, making not 9600 LP damage, but 4800 LP...

When he says it's dealt twice, he means that both player 1A and 1B both deal 800*6 damage. That is an average of 800 burn per card in his hand.

The math should be like this:

Damage from Player 1A + Damage from Player 1B = Total Damage
(800*6)+(800*6)=9600

it has to be at 8000 still, other wise cards like injection fairy lily would be more broken

I think they only dealt 800 x 6, cuz as the rule of a card that says opponent deck, etc, it only applies to one of the opponents, so damage will only be dealt to one of the opponents...

Yikes. That sounds downright evil. Your opponent is going to have like summon Des Wombat on turn 1 to have a fighting chance.

makes Pikeru's Circle of Enchantment almost useful now...

but in a team match, each team has 8000 points, not each player, so dealing damage to any player makes the teams points decrease. personally, i call it linked lifepoints. say i am on a team with a buddy. HE gets hit with ookazi. WE take 800 points bringing OUR lifepoint counter (not counters) to 7200. get it now?
