Exasperate - :1::u::u:
Instant

Ripple 60 (When you play this spell, you may reveal the top 60 cards of your library, or, if there are fewer than 60 cards in your library, you may reveal all the cards in your library. If you reveal cards from your library this way, you may play any of those cards with the same name as this spell without paying their mana costs, then put all revealed cards not played this way on the bottom of your library in any order.)

Counter target spell unless its controller pays :1:. Shuffle your library.
Whenever Exasperate becomes the target of a spell or activated or triggered ability, shuffle your library.

I obviously included the last caveat to guard against someone stacking their library and then not having to shuffle. The point of this card is NOT as a means to stack your deck; rather, it is supposed to "grow" as you need it (e.g. maybe you only take 1 additional Exasperate from your lib) and to explore what 'ripple' can offer. Personally, I think ripple has a ton of potential

I agree that ripple has a lot of potential and the card uses it well. You don't need the second line I think, cause if the spell would be countered you can't ripple, and if it won't be you have the shuffle stuff in first line..
But wizards will still write it "counter target spell unless its controller pays :1:, then you may ripple 60. If you do shuffle your library afterwards"..

Ripple 60 is a bad idea, there is a reason ripple values are small

Pffft, now it takes three cards and 6 mana to stack your deck.

You can arrange the cards you put on the bottom of your library. Since most decks contain 60 cards (and less once this hits play, prob 50 or so), you 'ripple' all your cards, being able to put them back in any order, making sure you're getting the cards you need for victory

Did you read the whole card? That's why I included both of those "shuffle" clauses - don't these take care of that problem?

You'll need a cancel and a stifle.

I'm not seeing it, or I'm not getting it. All i see, is a card that shuffles if it gets targeted of another spell/ability

The obvious use was to counter the spell since Ripple is a separate triggered ability. So if you make them shuffle even if they counter the spell then they can't exploit that.

That's why stifle is the next step, though cumbersome.

Anyway, it's much easier to say "When you play ~, you may search your library for any number of cards named ~ and play them without paying their mana costs. Shuffle your library."

Especially since you wouldn't want to show your opponent your whole library anyway.

You're right and I've been thinking the same thing since I made this card. The ripple just complicates something that doesn't need to be this complicated
