Yesterday I hit 5 years of being a member of Pokeschool. It's strange but it doesn't seem so long.
Happy E-birthday!
I think its been 5 years here for me tommorrow, thats half a decade.

Happy e-birthday! I think it's time for you to annoy us with- I mean it's time for you to reminisce about the good ol' days. :p
Heh, you got a whole two years on me.

Eh, yeah, happy e-birthday. What an interesting concept.
Mine's in... 4 years? Lol, must plan ahead!
EDIT: Were those same-time posts?

Mine was 4 years about 20 days ago. I was going to make a topic about it but Nem told me off. ^^
I dunno about Gengar or Coco but 4 years ago, Pokeschool was the first board I'd ever joined not long after first getting the net. If it wasn't for Pokeschool, I SO would not be where I am today, nor have the friends (Especially Nem) that I do today. And arguably, I wouldn't have the skills I do as a programmer/web-designer/webmaster because if it wern't for Pokeschool, I wouldn't have gone and set up Pokecharms back in 2001.
It's pretty amazing that the place has been here long enough for people to be able to celebrate being here half a decade (and more if Maggy was still around). One of the first Pokemon Boards on the net, and one of the best too.
Especially if you're an RPer. ;)
Happy E-B-Day Gengar. ^^ Oh, and Happy E-B-Day to you too Coco, as it's now officially tommorow since you posted.

A little under two months to my fourth, though if you count lurk time, it'd be a LOT quicker. I always lurk for about one-three months on boards before joining... I think I started lurking here like early April on a spring break, back in '01.

Oh, I was lurking for quite a long time before I registered, because I couldn't figure out how. :p
That makes it my E-birthday today! (As lame as that sounds)
Pokeschool was the first forum i ever joined as well, when i used to use my Mums school computer to post (my mothers a teacher).

This is the first "real" forum I joined, though I have a brief period over at a board Discovery used to have.

YAY CONGRATULATIONS GENGYAR!!! :)
[justincasethatwasntcloseenoughtothetopicwhichitwas] Wow, five years, that's a long time. Wow. I've been on Pokeschool for nearly a third of my life. :(

My first year cut-off for this place is a long ways off, but Pokeschool isn't my first forum. It's about my 12th or so in the long line of forums I've joined over time - some for mere months, others years... I was at a particular one for almost 7 years (not counting upgrades). Jeez... Now that's a chuck of my life gone, especially since the place finally closed down a few months ago :(

Man, I thought I recognised you Gengar. Good to see you posting again.

Its amazing how these forsaken "vets" are allowed to do that.
Anyway, i think its only fair to add that Pokeschool was my first forum to join ever, i have to say that i adapted quite nicely. Im usually proud to be a part of these forums; even though its harder at sometimes then the other.
Think that these forums will last long enough to have someone here for a whole friggin decade? Its belivable.. sorta... Its hard not to when you look at that insane amount of people that reside here.

... No more spam. No matter how long you've been here.

Who was spamming? That wasn't spam. It's not like I'm trying to be all, "I've been here longer, so it's not spam," but it wasn't like, a pointless post or whatever. And seeing as the above post was not related in any way to the subject of this post, and this one is related to the one above, it's not spam either.

Heh.....Gengar's been a Pokeschooler as long as I have...
My Eb-day was last summer... this summer will be 6 years.
It's encouraging to know that I'm not the only half-decade
veteran who is still a member of this message board...

Ahhh, so Gary's a mod now? I never thought I'd see the day, considering how many times we considered banning you.

Careful, Gary might decide to ban you.
Don't worry, he has settled down a bit and is doing fine as a mod.

But if he does you're always invited to where the other Pokeschool rejects go, D-web! If that was against the rules sorry I didn't mean it in a negative or offensive way. o_O
*reminisce* Who else participated in TR! ? I used to have it saved somewhere, because it was like, so important, but I think it has gone missing.

I was a member of TR (the Coldwater version of it).
*sigh* I really miss those days. Wonder if maybe
I could have a shot at making my own version???
(not sure how many folks would join it, and there's
the fact that it is a criminal organization, btw...)

*shin-kick* Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't see you there.
Meh, I gave up on racing you in post count long ago, when I realized that you were twice as active as I was in twice as many forums as me...
I just remembered that I missed my e-b-day... Jan 31, 2002... *feels middle aged, rather than old*

lol, I passed me e-bday two months ago. It was also the first, and most definitive, forum I have joined. If it wasn't for this, I'd be moochin' around reading books all the time, and doing my homework like a good little girl...
Thank Gary I joined Pokeschool!

According to your join date, october. But there are ways that could be inaccurate. I suppose.

My original join date at CCG was Jan 31, 2002. Because of the previous board switch, I had to re-register, and it was October

May something-or-other for me, right as I was in my last month of sixth grade. So, I'm averaging 1000 posts a year, or so... *sneaks off to the VS forums, which are much more lenient about post quality*
