Depend on time and you'll find yourself behind in the race.

Note that lands can NOT be played during the upkeep and suspended card are usually played in your UPKEEP so this land will stay suspended for ever..
If you will change this somehow it would be nice card..

It's rule 212.6a
A player may play a land card from his or her hand only during a main phase of his or her turn, and only when he or she has priority and the stack is empty. A land card isn't a spell card, and at no time is it a spell. When a player plays a land card, it's simply put into play. The land card doesn't go on the stack, so players can't respond to it with instants or activated abilities.
I hope it's clear enough :-))

Yes, but that is different. Lands don't use stack, they aren't even spells and as mentioned in the previous rule they are just put into play, so you can't use the exception suspend creates and "play" it.. The same is that you can not play Dryad Arbor while you can play creatures with instant speed (like with Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir)

But with Teferi, a suspended sorceries don't work either.
We do have a pickle here. I will just assume that it'll work for now.

You play lands though, as seen with city of traitors.

I'm sure Magic The Gathering had an article on it not working somewhere.
BTW, you did notice that 212.6a the first rule for lands is different from the other first rules.
A player may play a land card from his or her hand only during a main phase of his or her turn, and only when he or she has priority and the stack is empty.
The other ones don't have those only.

But thats the same for sorceries and/or critters

No I mean that 212.3a, 212.4a, 212.7a all don't use the word "only". It seems that 212.6a is the only one worded like that.

You know, there have been cards that change the rules of the game because of the card's text. Just look at Relentless Rats

But... isn't this better than City of Brass? You can use this every turn. O_o
Also, wording to get around the no-lands-during-upkeep silliness is suchly -
Remove ~ from the game. Return it to play under your control at the beginning of your next upkeep.

If you do, this counts as a land drop.
Actually it has only a very small drawback, You just can't use its mana in the slim time before it comes into play after your untap phase.
It seems everyone was hellbent on the suspend-land subject, that no one noticed.

Nah, your wording doesn't work, the disadvantage is with suspend, you play it thereby it uses up your land drop for the turn, yours skips over that.
EDIT: Dash it all, your got to it a minute faster than me.
Every time you use it, you skip your land drop during the next turn.

Functionally, nearly identical to Undiscovered Paradise, though it reminds me more of City of Traitors.
In any case, the mechanics of the card are a little overly complicated for what they do.

Make it somehow so it comes into play during your main phase.
