Yeah, I'm making a thread to discuss Action Replay'd Pokemon.

Basically, here's my argument:

If the Pokemon are hacked with legit movesets, EVs, IVs, abilities, etc., then should they really be outlawed? For example, should a 31 / 31 / 18 / 4 / 23 / 28 Tyranitar with Sand Stream and Stone Edge / Dragon Dance / Taunt / Earthquake be outlawed from play just because it was hacked? I personally don't think so. It's a completely legit (you get what I mean) Pokemon, so why shouldn't it be allowed? Hacking Pokemon just means that you actually have a life and don't have the time to spend several days (or weeks) to IV breed, EV train, and possibly walk around using the Vs Seeker to battle the people next to the mansion and get rich quick to buy TMs from the Game Corner or the Department Stores and/or spend time on forums or chat rooms trying to get other, one-off TMs.

So anyway, discuss your thoughts on the here.

to me hacking is just a better and quicker way to train pokemon but that is just my opion. hey do you have pokemon dimond or pearl and by any chance are willing to trade over a dialga?

I agree with you, Jet. Hacking should be allowed, to an extent(I.E., breeding perfect IVs AND shiny, or a Shiny Guard Spiritomb(that p's me off to no end))
as long as they hack it 'well'.

I think it should be outlawed. It wasn't actually caught, you created it just so it'll be easier, and part of doing all that in the game is test yourself, instead your just cheating the game, and yourself. It's not legit by any means, sure if you have a valid moveset, and ok IVs, it's still just making it easier by cheating. only if you plan on using it against some actual people then yes it should be banned.

I get where you're coming from, but think about it. Why spend endless hours simply raising and reraising (Not on the poker forum), oops-I-screwed-up-an-IV, better lower it with a berry and fight nine more pokemon. It just makes your life a whole lot easier.

I myself am not that deep into I need the perfect pokemon so I can pwn em all. I'd rather just get myself some legit pokes, train em, not caring bout EVs and stuff, makes it a lot more fun, plus you don't have to worry bout that stuff, and it's legit. Although I guess if you did want to have a perfect team it'd be easier that way, but anyone could make a perfect pokemon, but so few can actual train a perfect pokemon. And those who take the time get rewarded

I don't mind AR Pokemon, as long as they've got legitimate stats and movesets. I *HATE* seeing a Cyndaquil with 999 in every stat that knows Aeroblast. As long as it's a good cheat, it's just saving time, not really cheating, IMO...

well you did not really create it because it still is a pokemon it is just stronger
has an option to be shiny.

you should not have to spend such of a long time finding good moves and getting good stats when you could do it in one day. so right now i agree with psycoward and jet 803.

I've had a change of heart. I just found out that my Milotic that I got in trade was made from pokesav, it can still get knocked out and it's stats are still normal. Plus I relized that it takes a really long time to EV train. I think I'm gonna use it, because some of my teams IVs are kinda bad, plus I have some EV faults.
