For starters, the player needs to reveal it, else he could be shoving who knows what into his hand.
For uhhh...just after starters, your hellbent phrase should look something like this I think: "Hellbent-If you have no cards in hand, instead target player looks at the top two cards of his or her library, reveals a land card from among them, and puts it into their hand. Then ~ deals 8 damage to target nonartifact creature.
But I may need some backup.
Third, this card makes no sense at 1 mana. If you pay the green, the damage doesnt make sense, and vice versa.
Fourth, 8 damage is too much, try 4 or probably 3.

I was almost going to skip this thread. But then I got curious... Though I appreciate having something to laugh at.

That was almost correct RuffledBunnez. However...

As is now with the first ability, it needs to deal a negative amount of damage to the creature to make up for it.

For all purposes, this is a heck lot better then Sylvan Scrying. WTF was going in your head? Oh, duh, Sylvan Scrying is worst then Rampart Growth... The land doesn't even come into play... I'll just knock a mana off of it. Oh and hybrid is cool, I'll make this a red and green hybrid. Hmmm, I think I need to make this red, so there goes a line for damage and a Hellbent ability.

You know, this only comes to a vicious cycle, of which the by product will be someone trying to obsolete Darksteel Colossus or Akroma, Angel of Wrath.

1) Don't put too much effects on one card
2) Work on your templating
3) 8 damage... 8... for one mana
4) Landsearch for 1 mana...
5) Target player
6) Don't EVER make cards like this again

What? Making cards that do the same thing and more as an existing card for the same cost is just silly.

Also 'tarjet' is pronounced "tar zhet," not "tar get," which is what you want.

I think this covers a majority of the issues here. Oh I forgot, this costs one hybrid mana - you're giving land fetching to red and direct damage (and it's 8 damage!) to green?

And anyone trying to make Akroma obselete would definitely incur my Wrath.
