I'm trying to make use of Castle of Dark Illusions in my deck. so far I've found quite a few downfalls, yet I really like this card.

1) Flip effect + Nobleman of Crossout = Good Game
2) Mystic Tomato can get him, yes... however, he's a flip, so I'd have to Book of Moon him, then flip -_-;;
3) Fiend... not searchable by Turtles (main searcher in zombie of course)

his effect is kind of sketchy too, I'm not exactly sure how it works. so basically when I flip him, he gives all zombies 200 atk/def. then for 4 more turns he keeps raising it 200, for a maximum 1000 atk/def on all my zombies. however, say he's been out for 2 turns already. and my Vampire Lord comes to play, what happens? does Vampire Lord get +200 atk/def then can only get it for 2 more turns? or does he come out with an automatic +600 atk/def?

I'm sorry, the card is quite confusing.

I've been playing around with ideas of keeping him out... however that flip thing is killing me!! Heart of Clear Water seems to work with Judgement of Anubis set on the field. so while Heart is sitting there making my Castle invincible to battle/card elimination, my Judgements protect from any magic aiming at my Heart.

what do you suggest I should combine to strengthen this combo of trying to bring out the underrated Castle of Illusions? yes, I know about the Pumpkin King, but until I get some combos I know I can pull off, I'd rather use Ryu Kokki instead.

Thanks a lot

::edit:: I also use Tower of Babel not sure if I should use 2 of them. but it just makes my opponent think twice about using magic. ^_^ Judgements also protect that.

1. Only the zombies on the field at the time the castle was flipped will get the bonus.

2. Tribute summon him, and then use Book of Taiyou (puts castle into face up attack mode) or Desert Sunlight (this will make all of your monsters face up defence mode though) to flip summon him that same turn.

3. keeping him alive will be the toughest part, Patritian of Darkness + Spirit reaper will keep all attackes at bay.

I'm trying to make a deck that isn't so.......... cookie cutting. what do you guys think about Great Dezard/Fushioh Richie?

I'm not familiar with them are there any staples I should know of with that deck? and the thing I love is that Fushioh is not a Nomi monster, once his description is fufilled, I can book of life/coth/premature burial him.

The hard part will be to summon Fushioh and Since Great Dezard is not a zombie so his support will be limited in the deck. Since Great Dezard is a level 6 monster you could do the dump and revive with premature/call of the haunted for faster summoning of him. You still have to come up with a faster way of having him destroy two monsters.

Twin Swords of Flashing Light would help - dump a zombie, and then run over any of their spare tech monsters; failing that, just use a generic equip card (Axe or United) to keep him smashing stuff.

ring of magnetism forces the attack to the tower unfortunatly. His effect will not protect him.

although i thought that his effect would

T.V. version of yu-gi-oh combo that would work well

bones with the Seal of Orichalcos
soul absorbing bone tower in the front row, another zombie on the back row
then just let him run out of cards

Well, yeah on t.v. they do not play as much monster removal as there is in the real game.
