Possible D/P migration cheat idea?

I just thought of a great cheat idea: Is there a way to clone pokemon by migrating them then turning the DS off at a certain point? (then you'd have one in D/P and one in R/S/Fr/Lg/E)

The only reason I don't try it out myself is I would rather not break my game.

Not thats currently known. However it is possible to clone pokémon in emerald so you can just move the pokémon over to there, clone it, then send it over. Simple really.

There is a clone cheat using the GTS. However, it's VERY unreliable compared to the Emerald clone cheat.

I know both of those, and I've done the Emerald cheat. This was just an idea for another one.

Is there anyway to tell if the pokemon was cloned??

Not unless the person tells you. It will look exactly like the original, and have the exact same stats, EXP, OT, and moves. (unless someone trained it)
